They might do an arrangment with a veteran at another position. Tell them they are going to cut him but bring him back once they put a player on IR.

I gotta agree with ya there
Obviously not used to those winds,...but it'll come.

It's not that sam is great, it's that he's more reliable. Lance is very Dr jekyl/mr hide.

i think we keep all three but I can see Sam as #2.

If Lance is #2, I think it's to save his value. If he goes to 3, I think his value is going to be worse.

Darnold is far from reliable. He's a proven turnover machine, so either way, it will be rough with him or Lance. But the potential to get better is still there for Lance. Darnold is what he is at this point, unreliable and turnover prone.

Yes he missed the extra point and barely hit the game-winning FG but he was still 3-3 with the game-winner.

No Danny Gray?

He might start on IR depending on how bad his injury is.

No way in blue hell am I trading Gray for an older vet like Conley even tho he's played well. I need to see more of Gray rather than 1 season and then a preseason
We've been so healthy. Really hope Gray is okay.

Darnold hasn't been turnover prone with us so far through camp and the pre season. That int wasn't his fault at all. He's been very consistent and made some really nice throws. Nice tight window throws and decisive when he's had time.

im just putting myself in a coach's shoes. If I'm not trying to win the super bowl and I need a guy to come in a play for a game or two while my starter is out, so I want the young inexperienced guy where idk what the hell I'll get? Or do I want the vet who I know can make nice plays, know how to gameplan for, know what situations to keep him out of. Especially with the talent we have. It's not really anytbjng against Trey, it's what's next for the team. Whats best for Treys development doesn't really help us this year.

Really happy for Latu. Should be a good confidence booster after the drops in practice.

Excellent to see Lance step in and rip a few throws at the end. A much better showing.

Purdy looks the exact same guy which is excellent.

A lot of rookies flashed - Bell (wow), Latu, Winters, Graham. Willis had a nice play or two also.

Nicholls looks better than some of our other backs.

I cracked up when Aiyuk got flagged - too funny.

When you used third rounders on RBs in back to back years and a guy that you cut years ago comes in and looks better than either of them, that's not a great indicator of your drafting process.

Imagine calling someone with barely 3 games Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde and calling the guy with 50+ games of literally Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde more reliable. Seriously, have some of you not seen Sam play? He has PLENTY of games for you guys to choose from if not. Darnold been a turnover machine since college too if you would like to go further back. It's insane the leash some of you give him compared to Trey

There is a much bigger body of work with Darnold, and it has not been good going back to his last year at USC. Just because it may seem like he's been taking care of the ball in camp, doesn't mean he won't revert back to his careless ways. He is more of a finished product than Trey is.

One guy's story isin't at all any indicator of a team's drafting process.

Throw in the Latu pick, and that really ups the WTF factor with the drafting process. Maybe switch out the late-round scouts out with the ones running the top of the draft and see what happens
