casual fans that pretend to be diehard by saying a SB is all that matters. A team has to be good (we are) and lucky (relatively injury-free) to win a SB. The injuryluck has not been going our way in both of our last NFCG
also I would argue that not playing the best player because he was drafted lower is what would make me more ashamed than missing on a draft pick

Failed Raider coach, mediocre QB coach in Denver, was fortunate to piggyback the SB XXIX 49ers, proceeded to move to Denver. Admittedly, he won back to back SBs with Denver, but that two-three year window was the product of all the other teams running out of gas.

We should not be satisfied with back to back Super Bowls, this is the 49ers, Threepeats or Bust. We don't hang back to back banners here.

its not the FO fault we have injuries dude its the FO job to get talented players the coaches job to create a scheme to help us win they have
luck plays a part of it too
The world is rarely as black and white as people tend to see things. It is in some ways, ... but the world is more grey than anything else.
That said, it is fair to say they have made several mistakes along with their successes. That does not make me ashamed of the front office in the least.
They are accountable for their failures, doesn't matter what they say, they wear their mistakes as a matter of course for all to see.
I expect them to learn from their mistakes and take steps accordingly to be and do better.
I am actually more ashamed of portions of the fan base for one reason or another for their insanity.
Check out SI writer Grant Cohn's video, "Why the 49ers Have Most Likely Put Shanahan on Notice" on YouTube. I don't feel the same way they do about the Trey Lance debacle, but Cohn (who is around the 49ers more than any of us) and his father feel the same. Wouldn't hurt to read the comments attached to the video. Food for thought. Let's all have cogent discussions and if necessary, agree to disagree.

First I need to know what Skip Bayless and Jay Mariotti have to say on the subject!

Add to that the Cowboys on their last legs, the Bills falling apart, and the Steelers taking a few steps back, and you have an immense power vacuum in the NFL. I might add too that Green Bay who was the previous SB champion believed their hype and wouldn't return for over another decade. The Broncos needed a dearth of super teams like the previous three decades enjoyed, and they also needed T. Davis, Schlereth, Romanowski, and Sharp. What did Shanahan do after that gang broke up?He signed Jake Plummer, and proceeded to miss the playoffs and eventually get fired. Likewise with the Washingtonians. Kyles not much better; has moved around with the Texans, Commanders, Falcons, Browns, etc... Sorry, cant believe in the Shanahan philosophies, or Kyles' questionable decisions.
This is one of the dumbest posts I ever read on this forum. Talk about revisionist history.
