Jeff Wilson giving them a fumble 6 didn't help

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 49ers haven't won there since 1996. But the last two times the 9ers beat them (2011 and 2019) the 49ers went to the NFCC and Super Bowl.

That 11' game was that monday night game where like a generator for Candlestick blew out and caused the lights to go out right? That was a game I remember telling myself were in for a special season

Sure, but that's two games, in 2007 and 2015. I don't know about you, but I happen to think this year's roster is a tad better than those two squads.

Bosa will be signed and will play. There's absolutely zero chance Lynch lets this drag into the regular season.
Doubt we need Bosa to win vs Pitt

Lol sleep on Pittsburgh all you want but I won't be surprised if we lose this one. Our oline will be in for a long ass day especially if the right side is trash, if our dline doesn't get to Pickett constantly our secondary can be in for a long day with Johnson and Pickens. Our interior dline better be able to stop the run too and who the hell is the nickel cb? Tomlin is undefeated in home openers and idc how great our team is an opener at Pittsburgh with those fans will always be tough. We play our game tho we should win because we're the better team but you just don't know what team will show up week 1 under Kyle

I think about that all the time man. But then there would be no Nick Bosa and I rather have Bosa than Smith.
Awesome matchup, not gonna lie Steelers look legit, legendary franchise, great opener
special teams a big early question mark
Steelers are going to win this game going away.

Their WR corps are scary good, they're deep on all sides of the ball and they seem to have found their franchise QB who has managed to put together a perfect QB rating this preseason and they have a good, physical running game.
Pitts is always a tough game, but they are clearly on the rise and I wouldn't be surprised if they win the AFCN this year by 2-3 games.

We always start slow and unfortunately we are not as deep or well coached in some critical areas when it comes to match ups with Pitts current roster.
We always see teams have success on 1st downs on our Defense, Pitts is a team that will capitalize on that repeatedly.

Honestly, I just hope we can make it out of this game healthy without any key players getting hurt or lose in embarrassing fashion.

Steelers by 10. (hopefully not more)
I think niners lose this game their defensive line looks soft as f**k right now and giving up big runs. That's not good. Maybe they'll have a better chance if Nick plays but idk. Tough matchup

Steelers are coming in hot with TJ Watt, Alex Highsmith and this rookie, Nick Herbig, that looks like a Hawaiian version of Haason Reddick. Our OL will need to pack their nuts and keep Brock clean.

Keep your head on a swivel, Brock.

For real. They have waves of pass rushers. Away game on the EST, traditionally start out slow and undisciplined, their strength is our weakness, should be a low scoring game and we have Moody , etc.

I would not be surprised one bit if this ends up an L.

Last time we played without Bosa, Marcus Mariota completed 93% of his passes against us and we got blown out by the Atlanta Falcons.
he wasn't the only one missing and there were a lot of other issues, than just missing Bosa

Mariota had 15 easy passes in that game due to not being able to stop the run. People act like he diced up our secondary. 🤣
I will always remember the Blackout Game at Candlestick that I attended.
I see lots of pessimism. Here is some optimism. Brock will out play Pickett and the defense will generate a couple of TO's. CMC will have another great game rushing as well as receiving. Deebo will break off a 30+ yard run. Kittle will score 2 redzone TD's. The 49ers will win 27-17.
