baldy makes a great point - everyone on offense and defense for the 49ers, are proven. Have played at a high level. We aren't waiting for any player to blossom - they've all blossomed. The Steelers are waiting for almost all their players to blossom, that's the biggest difference between the teams.

i think that'll be the difference. I respect the Steelers (have always been one of the organizations I root for from afar) but I think we will win because they're still finding out who they are. Our experience and confidence will win out.

i also think our offense continues to be a juggernaut, we score 28 minimum.
I just hope Brock's internal clock is not broken, cause Pitts only chance is to bring the blitz every time and try to force mistakes

Who the heck is Alex Highsmith? I was just looking at their stats and the dude had 14.5 sacks last season. They got him and Watt coming off the edges? Yikes.

Half of those sacks came in 3 games; CIN, MIA & CLE. But yea, he came out of nowhere. He had 8 sacks in 2021 and 2 sacks in 2020.

Yeah, he got paid this off season too. They have good pass rushers. Their defense isn't bad at all. It was their offense last season that really held them back.

their corners/safeties are older (Peterson) and/or inexperienced (Joey porter Jr). Then they replaced all three of their starting linebackers - I've read they struggle with pass coverage, so I expect CMC/Kittle to eat.

They're well coached, won't be a pushover, but we should win. Just need to come out and be disciplined.

And 3 against Zach Wilson. All of his sacks came against trash teams besides cincy. Which they replaced their tackle this year. Solid player though.

I only see 1 against the jets.
I'm excited about this game. Great challenge. Let's find out if we're off to a Championship path right out of the gate!

LOL I misread assist for sacks. My bad
You can tell the people who spend all day listening to 24 hr sports news. They're always the most pessimistic. Stop watching the news. Two reasons: First, 9 times out of 10 you're more informed than they are, especially when it's your team. Second, their purpose is to entertain you long enough so they can flash some ads in front of you. Most of the time, the entertainment is at your expense. You'll be happier not listening or watching to it.

The history of this team on week 1 under KS should be enough to make people pessimistic.

Telling you, Pitts defense very well might be better than ours when this season is all said and done. Wouldn't be surprised if they rank in the top 3 overall by the end of the year.

Lol get outta here. We have like 5 all pros in our defense. They're garbage that kills for money.

Can't wait to shove the ball down their throat and slap their mothers so everyone on here can stop being worry warts.

they have to play US! Bonafide studs across the board. Outside of a player or two, they're all unproven or decent.

Now you're talking out your ass now, might as well just say you think we're missing the playoffs
