This is for those Directv users that are still pissed about losing Sunday Ticket.

I called them yesterday to see about getting the NFL Network Redzone. It is part od package of about 40 sports channels and they're offering it for $13.99 per month. I explained that I already receive all the channels in that package as part of my regular package. I wanted to know if they could give me some type of deal to add Redzone. The said it had to be the whole package

Someone at Directv really screwed up on this. They should have known that most of the channels were already included on at least half their regular packages. They made no provision to do a separate add on. They would even give me any discount on any of my existing additions like MGM+ or HBO.

Why not just get the Sunday Ticket?

Why not just google nfl streams and sometimes you may find a solid stream to watch the game

Have fun with lag, being 2-3 mins behind everyone else, with the very high possibility of freeze screens in the middle of the game

No way around it. The NFL is making it harder and more expensive to see their product. Games on Amazon. Games on YouTube. Games on NFL Network. Games on NBC. Games on the local CBS and FOX affiliates. It's almost like they want to see how much we're wiling to search for their product. The streaming services will continue to raise their prices as they get more content and they are forced to pay more for it.

YouTube doesn't offer all the channels I get with Directv. To get everything I now watch I would need at least 4 different streaming services and I still wouldn't get NBS Sports Bay Area which gives me all Giants and Warriors games. Streaming services in my area aren't great either. They often freeze or start buffering.

I'll just listen on the radio except for the 5 games that are shown locally and the 2 on Amazon Prime. I'll catch the replays during the week. I'll probably break down and get the Redzone even though it's overpriced at $13.99 per month. I'll only need it for 4 months.

Call Direct TV and get that package you are referring to. Wait a week or 2 and call to cancel. Maybe they will give you a discount then. This is why i'm so glad i dont have direct tv anymore. Always had to call and threaten to cancel stuff.

Have to know where the good streams are. Mine rarely have issues. I just attach an HDMI cord from my laptop to the tv, badda boom b

It's a 60 minute game and they want me to pay for 2 hours of commercials too?
Ugh I just realized that week 1 is not this weekend

It's the area I live in. I can live with watching replays. That way I can avoid sitting through the endless commercials and replays. The NFL is 15-18 minutes of actual actio and 3 hours of dead time.

Because I like the stats, replays, and close up angles - I actually prefer to watch the game from home. At the stadium it's just chaos and you're kinda stuck. A lot of downtime. I just like to watch the game, get all the stats/info I want, then do what I want with my day. Lol thank god a lot of fans like going to games to give us home field advantage
The Steelers last top-5 draft pick was Terry Bradshaw in 1970

Thats super Impressive. What makes that even more impressive is that they draft really well over and over again without having top picks.

like I said before, it's a very admirable organization. Very well ran and does it right.

That Div was pretty bad for years ..just like the AFCE was.
Really looking forward to the season starting and this first game, but now really glad it's not this Sunday:

I just simplified things for myself and reactivated YoutubeTV and got the Ticket. I don't have time for BS especially with me revamping my man cave. I have to be able to watch with no hiccups when I can't actually go to a game live
Imagine if this new kicker gets hurt lol

This - good call in doing so.

And a solid, revamped man cave is very underrated (my issue is can't call it a man cave around my wife).
