49ers at Steelers Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 1

My thing is we better NOT come out flat and understanding that this is an East coast game with an early start. I want us to come out on FIRE!! Especially offensively

Have you ever seen this team "come out hot" in their first few games of the season? Lol, I'm just hoping we make it respectable and don't run into a buzz saw.
If they play as good as the roster, the Niners should be able to walk away with a W.

As long as the game is close. I don't see this game being high scoring I could be wrong though. Would be nice to see the offense explode the first game of the season for a change.

We started off 8-0 in 2019.

The Bucs, Bengals both had losing records and we gave 5 turnovers to an 8-8 Steelers team at home…..🥴
3-0 is great but I wouldn't call that a "hot start".
Better lucky than good sometimes and a win is a win, but this roster is is better and deeper, hopefully we don't shoot our selves in the foot and let teams hang around.

Jimmy was the QB then, though. Been a completely different offense under Brock and I expect the team to come out swinging. That being said, this will likely be one of the toughest games of the season, so I'm really hoping Bosa can make it.

This. Brock is on another level than Jimmy G. His elusiveness is key especially vs a good DL. Helloooooo Think McFly Think!!!!! (To SLC sorry)

I can't wait. Can't believe less than one week now. Less than a week! Boy, last night cable was showing Draft Day again, what an awesome movie. I haven't seen in years and got me jacked for this season. Bosa will be back soon. Brock a rising star. CMC all of it. It's our year, I do believe it.

Draft Day gets me every time when they were discussing great QBs and the story is told of Joe Montana. The 90 yard drive to win the SB. Talking how you want a calm QB in all situations. How supposedly, as the 90 yard drive started Joe looked into the crowd and saw John Candy, a star actor at the time. Looked at his team mates and said is that John Candy up there? Cool and calm as could be…

Then came this…

%3D

It's our year. I do believe it. Let's go. Brock has that same calmness.

The closer this game gets, the less confident I'm getting …

Lol, true. I think the boost of confidence I need is, seeing the news break that Bosa is signed and he's in great shape ready to go😎

I'm opposite. For some reason, I really believe in Brock. No way the last pick of the draft performs that well in a season and it was just a fluke. My only concern is Kyle not trying to put his 🐾 all over this and screwing us by idiotic decisions eg using Wish for extra points just because….

Im not sold on Pickett. I think we win comfortably 😁
this game becomes much more difficult if bosa isn't playing. If he doesn't play, the offense will have to carry this win. Not a good game to miss bosa - week 1 on the road against a solid team.

The good news is that if we did play well without bosa, it lessens his leverage. If the d line play sucks - it'll give him better leverage for the team to break

im still optimistic that bosa won't miss week 1. I just worry that he will be on a snap count cause idk if he will be in football shape.
