Didn't Pickett play a ton of preseason like all games? It like he's going in game four form. I love love love our squad this year but I would not be surprised if upset. We seem to start slow. Hope that changes this season.
Pittsburg has a really good hungry squad just like the 9ers.

I'm surprised the Steelers aren't the favorites with all the hype they're getting. I can't stand Mike Tomlin, dude is a prick. I hope our defense finds a way to just run over Pickett and his offense!!!!!

This is starting to feel like the year after the superbowl where we had superbowl loss hangover. Bosa needs to sign. Kittle needs to get healthy.

So we're possibly looking at No Bosa, no Kittle, no Kicker, no experience (or very little) in our kickoff/punt return game on an already special teams squad that's shaky, playing on the road in a tough stadium against a potential playoff team and there's people that are like "ahhh, no problem"….???
Lol, love the confidence but the reality is, this game could get ugly for us.

Im wth you this game is not going to be good wth all of the self inflicted drama. Homer's will home but they have a thin margin and if anyone is a critical thinker we may lose this one. Not happy with the off season after the Hargrave signing.
I say steelers 24 niners 14. If things don't change with the Bosa signing

Kittle with an injury...surprise surprise. 
Anyway, I think the 49ers are fine sans Kittle or Bosa. I don't see Pitt. doing enough on offense, nor enough on defense, to overcome the squad (read talent) difference. I think STs will be wild, but inconsequential.

The key matchup to me is PIT's run game versus the 49ers DL. If they can get into 3rd and 6+, I like the chances for the 49ers defense. Pickett can scoot around so I would sit back in coverage and disguise looks, hoping it confuses him enough. Offensively, if Watt and Heyward can be somewhat contained - not easy - the 49ers offense is going to be fine.

to make watt less effective, i think the quick game + deebo will need to come up big. the deebo sweeps, quick slants, wr screens, etc.
