Cause he's a moron. He did say some nice things too but he's just trying to get his young guys hyped up and focused

The only team that is going to get fired up about this is the 49ers. That is locker room, bulletin board material. Look for Tomlin to make another public statement after the 49ers crush the Squealers by cutting Peterson from the team.

I've never understood why players give bulletin board material. Kittle actually has done this a few times, unfortunately. The eagles talked about how kittle slighted the eagles before the NFCC last year and that got them hyped.

deebo been talking this off season. Overall, I don't think anything they've said is a big deal - I just don't believe in giving a team any sort of motivation. Lol I hope we beat the brakes off of this year

Fans make a bigger deal out of bulletin board material than the teams do. If the Eagles needed Kittle's quotes to get motivated for the NFCC then they have bigger problems.

It isn't a matter of "getting motivated" but it adds extra juice to the game for specific players. It's one thing to want to beat a team but it's another to want to beat a team that's talking smack - anyone that's played sports knows that.

coaches bring it up to the team during meetings for a reason.

People are individually motivated by different things, some are self motivated, some are motivated by championships, some are motivated by beating people who talk trash etc but when you have 50+ players all motivated by different things - bulletin material matters, even if it's just a couple of players it amps up.

it's like when you have employees, not all of them are motivated by being offered more money. Some want recognition, some want extra time off, etc etc. so a. Opposing player adding anything to the other fire for any of their guys, isn't a good thing. It matters more than some want to admit.

guys like Richard Sherman and Michael Jordan would make things up to get their juices going weekly. lol motivation isn't the same for everyone. You get it however you can

Steelers should be focused more on breaking the streak of Niners opponents who lose the week after playing them. They don't want to start 0-2. 😈

I think the Steelers are going to attack that side early and often, test him and how he will handle it. Will be interesting to see how we handle that. I'm nervous about him, not overly, but I'm also not confident in him. I expect a back to help and/or chips on that side. Doesn't watt rush from the right?

This team's CB room is already a bit thin and inexperienced, a Mooney injury is pretty big deal. Makes me hate cutting Jamison even more.
