That's what the Cowboys did. Go rewatch the tape. Purdy's bread and butter are short throws to the middle. The Cowboys took that mostly away from him and made the 49ers beat them on passes behind the LOS and quick outs to the sidelines. I expect the Steelers to do the same and have Purdy beat him on throws he's not known for.

Yes, he did. He almost threw one early in the first quarter to Aiyuk on a deep throw. The defender almost intercepted it until Aiyuk stuck his hand out. He didn't throw many deep passes after.

That defender did not "contest" the ball. He had his hands out to catch the ball until Aiyuk poked it away. Even the commentators said the defender almost came down with the ball.

If I didn't have a rooting interest in the game, I'd say it's a pick'em game. I think Vegas has it right, we're slight favorites, but money is coming in on Pitt side.

Right. I don't think there's another team that would play at Pittsburgh game 1 of the season that would be an overwhelming favorite.

It would be interesting to see how the lines for KC, PHI, BUF, and CIN at PIT would look. I would venture to guess they'd all be -1.5 to -3.5
