35 is the #. They've already reported there's about a 4 million dollar difference in negotiations. 35 is about 4 million more than Donald makes. When all is said and done it's gonne be 35ish give or take.
According to Dave Lombardi, the 4 million that Albert Breer reported and is referring to is the difference between TJ Watt's highest paid edge rusher salary of $28,002,750, and Aaron Donald's highest paid defensive player salary of 31.66 million. not 4 million more than Donald,

I don't understand this "letting him walk" options.

It's not an option. He's not a UFA.

The Niners control him at favorable rates (compared to the alternative) for the next three years.

Haha!
All of these dudes needing to be the next highest paid s**t is getting ridiculous. Put a damn cap limit on these positions and if you reach certain achievements you can get a % higher than said cap. All that said, Bosa is a different kind of dude. I'd be willing to lose out on Greenlaw and Huf to sign Bosa. So in this scenario i could go as high as Darnold Money.

3 first rounders. But the infallible FO would probably just trade for Trey again.

I'm giving him whatever he wants if it ends this holdout. He knows what he means to us, so saying he has no leverage is way off. He knows this team will suffer without him on the field and the screams from the fans and negative press will make Lynch fold because sabotaging your season by not signing one of the best players in football might be something he could never recover from. He's already taking heat for Lance and now this? John Lynch isn't dumb, or at least I hope that he isn't. Make sacrifices elsewhere, not with our best player. It will suck to potentially lose guys like Dre, but I'm siding with Nick every single time no matter the cost. He's a young generational talent. You don't let guys like that go.

So, you're fine giving him 75M per year then? Don't you think that might really hurt the team too? I don't know what the number is, but there is a number where it just does not make sense to pay him.

I'm fairly certain the deal will get done soon.......fingers crossed.
I can't believe that nearly a quarter of the posters would give him $50 million per year. That's crazy. The top QBs are making that and there's no way Bosa is as valuable as any of the top 5 QBs. Not that he isn't good but a DE can't possibly have the type of impact on the game that any of the best QBs can. I'll argue that Brock Purdy's performance will have a bigger impact on the Niners season than Bosa's.

They will be the first ones to complain when 3 pro bowl players walk out the door in two years.
Just f**king pay him what the market demands. In less than a year he'll no longer be the highest paid defensive player. Probably going to be Michah Parsons.

When that happens will he hold out again?
