It's a very direct he's out for next week with no explanation. Zero gray area and negative connotations.

I haven't seen any information that gives any insight to severity or length of injury.

Hopefully Huff's injury is just a sprain and not a tear anywhere.

Agree. He was playing well this season, but Jaiyr played even better in his position. Looks like the acl pick finally got done in. Love him as a player, but damn if the ACL broke on grass. I hope (as you said) the grass helped him and it's just a sprain. But I have a very *bad* feeling about his injury from the game film posted on social media.

Also another Astro-Turf game up next this Thursday. Seattle's Lumen Field.
IIRC, Hufanga had some issue with his knee coming into the season and I wonder if this just pushed it over the edge.

That's the risk you run in drafting a player with a injury history. He's a 5th round pick from 2021, the *money* round for ShanaLynch. He's been a good player for the last two years and decent for the first half of this season. If it's a serious injury, a complete tear, his career might be over, sad to say. I felt this same way when Jeff Fuller's career ended with that permanent spinal injury that paralyzed half his body (or something like that). I hope Huff just has a bad sprain. Please Football Gods!

An ACL injury isnt close to the same thing that happened to Fuller. In this day and age players come back from ACL injuries

ACLs are typically not career ending. Even the brutal break + ACL PCL MCL that Chubb had is recoverable. The problem with Huf is he wasn't fast to start with and any lingering speed decreases will make him even worse. I think this was a contract year for him. Seems like a really nice dude so hoping it's just a sprain.
Hate it for him, wonder what that means for his contract extension and how the 49ers handle it.

Now I'm not sure how our safety roles are maybe they play interchangeable roles or maybe we'll be playing two FS going forward? Guess Brown could get subbed out for Odum on running downs.

How is browns ability in the box? Is Gipson able to do that?

Might have more 2 deep safety looks. Brown seems like the traditional cover safety, at least more than Huf. But we will see, I'm excited to see Brown play after a solid debut.

Right? It'll be a bit scary if both Banks and Burford are out. I'm guessing Feliciano remains at LG and then either Pryor or Moore at RG (both T's)? Or the newly signed Ben Bartch???

Banks was limited at practice yesterday so I hope they tested it out and he's a go.
