Trade for Brian Burns
Can't afford Burns long term, along with Bosa, and Aiyuk, just not feasible. Plus he's upset, he wants a long term deal, likely in Bosa's area, but he ain't Bosa IMO, not as good, he's good, but not that good.
Besides, they did this IMO to front load Bosa's 2023 cap number, so we have a low 2024 cap hit, like $12M, we'll still have around $13M in cap room for this season, $8M carryover is my projection for 2023 to 2024.

What are we going to do with the 41 million (!?) we have in cap space?

Agree with your bottom point here, but based on what you said at the top we could hypothetically afford to keep Burns long term at the expense of Aiyuk?
Not a realistic scenario in my opinion, but I'd take that I'm pretty certain.

Pending Bosa details - Rollover. Help us get ahead of what's to come.
We're already over the cap next year and by 2025 need to make decisions on Greenlaw, AA, Ward, Banks, Aiyuk (if not sooner), McKivitz, Lenoir/Thomas, Mitchell.
And even though not a FA, Purdy will be eligible for an extension too and if he stays healthy and plays like he's been playing so far that won't be cheap.
Drafting over the next two seasons will be incredibly important in regards to how far we can stretch out our SB window.

Yep. I saw some news on the Panther's side, discussing a possible trade. They are saying he is wanting an extension around 27-28 million a season, but the Panthers aren't willing to go above 23-24.

I was being stupid but I'm not. I'm tired of hearing next season next season lets go all in and win this s**t already!!! Bosa is locked and loaded, they brought in Hargrave, Trent Williams is near retirement, we got pretty much everything aligned the time is now!!!

There's just no way the 9ers could afford two multi year contracts at both DE positions like Bosa's. Ferrell or Drake Jackson is gonna have to step up.

Of those players you mentioned I envision the following being extended.
Greenlaw, Armstead, & Ward in 2024, AIyuk, & Hufanga in 2024, as for Banks, McKivitz, Lenoir, Thomas, Mitchell, plus guys like Burks, McCloud, & Jauan will be gone by 2025, we can't afford all these guys, just need to keep drafting well, especially in the later rounds, and hopefully hit on a 1st rd pick, not the best track record, but 2nd-7th we've been good-great.

No, can't afford two Bosa like deals, I should have mentioned we'd lose someone else like a Greenlaw, Ward, Armstead, plus Aiyuk if we brought Burns in long term.

Burns will get tagged twice, then we'll see what happens, unfortunate side of the NFL business, I don't like the franchise tag, players hate it, you tag someone and don't extend them you have a unhappy player, hope we don't have to tag anyone anytime soon, so hoping we do get Aiyuk & Hufanga extended next year. Pretty confident it will happen, same with Dre, & Ward, not so sure on Armstead, we'll see.

I would rent Chase Young at the deadline for like a 3rd when Washington is out of contention then let him walk and get a comp pick when some team gives him a bag

Ya know.....as a rotational dude. Nah..
I am actually for it. After the trade deadline, maybe. Enough time to ramp up fitness.
Even if no major injuries, another quality rusher would not hurt.
