Without cmc and kittle deebo is significantly more of an asset. With them he's significantly less. We can give any of those dudes a short pass and have them bruise it for a big gain
Aiyuk is a better pure receiver which makes him for valuable because he's harder to replace what he brings currently. He also seems to have gotten tougher over the years.

After rewatching the game I realized that I forgot how involved Deebo was as well. 5 catches for 55 yards. He was targeted during clutch moments as well but just didn't get those TDs.
I think we are going to see these two alternating big games and Brock is going to get them both over 1000 yards!

Deebo is a superstar. Aiyuk is quickly showing he's the better overall WR. However Deebo can break a game open from anywhere on the field...

That's a pretty basic and simple minded take, do assume that someone is a "fake ass fan" because they ask a question like this. Granted the question made more sense before we cleared up so much cap space, but the reality is that with the salary cap, teams do face decisions like this. Our cap situation aside, not many teams have two highly paid wide receivers.
Any real fan would know that.

Aiyuk is more important to this team IMO. I think Deebo is looking better then last season and will have a better season this year. But if I had to choose one to keep going into the future i am definitely keeping Aiyuk. I thought this for a long time. Not just reacting to Aiyuk's massive game 1.

Aiyuk can run the full route tree. It's hard for Deebo to compete with that.

Aiyuk has also been way more durable than Deebo so far.
If we cannot afford to keep them both, I am keeping Larry Fitzgerald *cough* I mean Brandon Aiyuk over Anquan Boldin *cough* I mean Deebo Samuel.

Hard to say who's more important, unless you're Kyle, but Aiyuk is more exciting. Deebo does that hard work taking punishment running the ball, so I say keep both.
