I think they score 16! One touchdown and 3 field goals.

meanwhile, we drop a 40+ burger on them.

Makes me Brockhard! Hahaha at one point, really before the Steelers finally had a drive to well before the end of the half - i felt like you could see the offense getting tired. Lol I can only imagine how exhausting it is for the guys upfront to go up against good players like the Steelers have on their d line.

pretty crazy

imagine being a Browns fan

To keep getting so close though... it's gotta be our year (Right?)

I was 7 years old when they last won the superbowl. I have only lived through the era of 'almost' and I tell you, it's rough.

Same here. I feel like the two super bowl loses hurt the younger generation more than the guys who have seen Super Bowl wins before. All we've ever heard about is how amazing it is and all that, yet all we've ever seen are worst records in the nfl or almost winning them super bowl. Unfortunately a lot more horrible seasons than closer ones.

Born in 92, can confirm.

Forty Whiner fans living up to the moniker. Lucky you guys aren't Browns, Minnesota, Houston, Arizona, Charger, ...You get the picture. My Dad was a Niner fan from day one. never won a title in the Fifties, Sixties, or Seventies. We had (me, Dad, and my brother) season tickets from the day they hired Bill Walsh. He went to high school with my Mom. We were at the 'Catch" game in 81. When we got home my pops said he wouldn't be going to any more games. His team had finally won "the big one." This team , as now constructed, has been in the thick of the trophy chase every year. Be thankful you've got something to root for come playoff time. It isn't a lock. My Mom was a Giants fan from the day they moved from NY to SF. She never saw them raise that World Series Trophy, but that didn't stop her from rooting for the boys right up to the day she died.
It makes us whiners because we've never experienced a chip and am unhappy with that? Or should be greatful that they won 30+ years ago the most recent time.

or should we be grateful that the niners have had a losing record over the last 20 years?

you sound so ridiculous when you say we should be grateful to not be a team like the browns when we are essentially in the same boat over the last 25 years - both have 0 championships. Just like the browns win 50 years ago.

"oh no! We are so much more dominant and better cause we won 30+ years ago and you won 50+ years ago". Like who gives a f**k at that point? It's a joke to be proud of losing in every important game over the last 25 years or so.

The joke is you not being able to appreciate what we have. According to your logic, if we win the chip this season then you will kick back and put it on cruise control. "We won. We won". Do you realize how close we were to losing the team? All I'm saying is enjoy the ride we're on right now! This may be as good as it gets. As to your comment regarding the Browns, that's just silly. We should be grateful that we have a local team. We should be grateful that this team is very, very good. I sound ridiculous? You sound like an entitled little brat.

this is not towards you

i don't care about the whiners, it does suck. What i don't like are the fake fans who bash the team/players/org and drag the 49er name through the mud.

Football isn't an easy sport and winning is pretty difficult when you play one game in the playoffs.

If you can't handle the 49ers at their worst, you don't deserve them when they are at their best

Honestly, those 2005-20010 years were some of my favorites.

I liked watching us build a roster, and I felt more relaxed with lower expectations.

Both Superbowl losses, the loss to the Giants, Seahawks, and Rams were really hard on me and a lot of other "young" fans.

Of course, you want your team to be good, but it's definitely more stressful when you haven't seen your team win it all like me.
i was at every game for those years and still going to this day

not sure how it could be my favorite. being there all day/all season just to get our ass whooped, but i never felt entitled to act as some fans do because i know how the game works.

That's why i'm enjoying this run like the harbaugh run

Agree, I'm doing the same, you just don't know when it will end till it ends. I didn't think in 1994 that would be the last championship for a looooog while. All good things come to an end, hopefully things are just beginning with Prudy.

Yeah just crazy lol, that shot during the game where it showed total yards:
49ers -199
Steelers- 1

Lol

Yea I started watching when Monty was hired and the team was sold to Eddie. That was 77? Anyway when they traded for OJ, I almost changed teams. But I'm born in SF and raised here so I stuck it out LOL
27-13 niners

1st Super Bowl: Super Bowl XVI (16), MVP #16 Joe Montana

This coming Super Bowl: Super Bowl LVIII (58)
5+8 = 13, MVP #13 Brock Purdy…
Maybe I'm just a pessimist but 8-point favorite feels kind of crazy to me… if I were a betting man I would pick the Rams to cover; not necessarily win, but cover. They just marched into Seattle and destroyed them.

Plus we are at the Rams"house" so add 3 more for "home" field so 11 pt????? That's pretty big point spread.I guess they don't think the Rams can hang

bet the house
So a fun fact from week 1 - banks had the fastest gps speed in the entire nfl on the CMC play. He was running like 16-17 MPH. Lol

I like this thinking

Superbowl 29-Steve Young-9×2=18, 8x1=8
Superbowl 58=5×8=40. 40÷3 (about 3 decades since our last SB win)=13.33
Is it Sunday yet?

I see nothing but fax here.
The Rams couldn't compete with us when the gap in talent was much smaller than it is now. The Niners have now widened that gap by quite abit.
