Yes. We played 9 home games last year. This year we play only 8. It alternates yearly…

Makes 2 road wins to start the year that much more important.

This isn't me but it was when it happened. (foul language)

Glad this wasn't me
do you guys think new football fans without teams in LA want to be 49er fans instead after seeing our takeovers? why would anyone want to be a rams fan?

Goodell even gifted them a ring so they can try to more attract fans too.... despicable....

The best excuse that I have read is that point differentials are used for tie breakers.
For your amusement....

"as they say, it's better to be lucky than good I guess.

so I put on the game today to see what I missed from my view from the seats...wow!!! they played even better than what my beer goggles showed me from sec 433 row 1

the Rams were the better team on Sunday, but sometimes the better team loses.

just a few things that popped out as lucky breaks for the Niners

1. No Kupp....nuff said

2. Phantom holding call on Higbee...cost us points

3. Niners had snap bounce off man in motion right into McCaffrey's hands

4. Bizarre call that they picked up the flag "after further discussion" for being "outside the pocket" ...wtf was that??? (didn't matter cuz we picked up first down on next play anyways, but my god)

5. 0:01 ticks left on the clock to get one more crack at scoring a TD....come on clock operator, that should have been time expired

6. Leaving Kendrick in the game...nuff said. Get the rookie in there ASAP coach!!!

7. Purdy fumbles snap bounces right back to him.

8. Williams drop pick ...that was a GAME CHANGER

8. No replay on the Atwell catch on the sideline late in the 3rd qtr that was called out of bounds at the 50?!!! So mad!!! Looked like a catch to me...why McVay didn't challenge that is beyond me, but it didn't help that Fox didn't show ONE replay of that Rams punt two plays later instead of being 1st and 10 at midfield. Yet they show 6 replays of Warners sack two plays later

9. Atwell misread that led to intentional grounding, would have been walk in TD had he turned it back upfield...never should have been flagged though, imo

Heartbreaking loss but very encouraging to see this young team not flinching vs one of the best teams in the NFL and I don't think there is a QB in the NFL throwing the ball better than Stafford is right now.....lot's to like about this team this year

cheers"

Stafford looked terrible in the second half. He was a pick machine.

This is dumb. He beat Kyle when it mattered most and got a ring.

So one game trumps multiple forever and ever. Its dumb to be cool with getting beat and sometimes embarrassed but thinking its all good because of 1 win, even if it's NFCCG. Kyle absolutely wants that game and McVay isn't okay with this streak simply because we has a ring

They have a ring we don't. That's why they play the game. I highly doubt Kyle cares about a streak during the regular season. He would rather be 0-12 against him in the regular season if he could have that ring.

They are competitors. There is no rather. They want it all. This whole I'd be okay losing if we win a ring is drivel that gets slung around all the time like any coach or player is okay with this. The Rams aren't happy losing 9 straight because they have a ring and the 49ers aren't happy losing the NFCCG because they won 9 straight regular season games.

Yes you play for a ring but that isn't all they are after. I find it amazing you try to make this about winning it all and in the same post say he'd rather be 0- 12. No true competitor is okay losing anything ever. Please stop this nonsense.

Must be some kind of high to be down by 10 with seconds to go and feel you are the better team. Especially when you've lost to that team, a lot. And the most recent win, even then you were on the ropes. I think its more logical to call 1 win out of 10 lucky, than the 9th win out of 10 the same. 9 out of 10 is just par for the course.

I don't know. Nice to get the win, but to my eyes, the 49ers got outplayed for most of the game, which has not really been the case against the Rams for the last few years. Stafford's last two games are about as good as I've ever seen him play. If Brock hits a couple of those throws he missed, I might have a different perspective, but the defense had no answers for Nacua, just as they have had no answers for Kupp. Isiah Oliver bailed them out with three huge plays. Hopefully he keeps it up. Go Niners!

If it were most of the game, why did the Rams only score 3 in the 2nd half until a meaningless field goal? Our 20-6 run started at the end of the 2nd quarter.
Man it was great to see the 49ers red Invasion in Inglewood and So Fi. I was born and raised in Berkeley California and lived in El Cerrito. I have been a 49ers fan since I was a kid. I live in Inglewood California two blocks from So Fi stadium. When the 49er faithful showed up it was almost like when the Super Bowel was held down here. Even though I live down here in Inglewood California, my heart and allegiance will always be with the Bay Area and 49ers. 49ers fans have class I didn't have clean up beer bottles and trash from my front yard or my driveway blocked. The 49er team came conquered and left lol. So Fi stadium is the 49ers So Cal Stadium Thanks Fam 😊

Hahahahahahaha the rams were the better team? Not even close!!!

Talk about bad penalty calls??? Greenlaw….garbage call. Gave the Rams a td

Aiyuk and Deebo were EASY TDs. It should of been a blowout.

The rams got destroyed in the second half. Their secondary is absolute trash.

If Aiyuk is healthy he makes a WAY BIGGER impact than Kupp. "Enough said" Kupps replacement got the production that Kupp may not of even got.

Gipson dropped Int

The Rams longest play was 20 yards. Stafford YPA was 6.6. Pedestrian

That guy is in denial. Their team got beat down and your Defense is trash. Donald is a joke vs us.

McVay is a b***h. Bush league move kicking the fg with no time left.

1) Here is the thing...there is only one football. Kupp coming back will be a boost, no doubt, but his catches will basically come directly at the expense of Nacua. So, I think #1 is pretty much a wash.

2) There were bad calls on both sides of the ball. This, too, seems like a wash.

3) Sure. But lucky bounces happen every game. This kind of stuff is pointless to debate, because there are an infinite number of alternatives, with half of said alternatives benefiting Team A, while the other half benefit Team B. So, yeah, this is not worth discussion.

4) See #2

5) Yeah, not a smart play by Purdy. Throw it at your man's feet, not sail it OOBs.

6) There is no guarantee the alternative is better.

7) See #3.

8) See #3. However, I do not disagree it was a major play in the game.

8...b, I guess?) I've come to find instant replay via challenge isn't a guarantee. I've seen some obvious mistakes not remedied.

9) Fair enough, although Purdy missed three massive throws, two of which would have been TDs...and honestly, the third probably would have been too. I am not sure the defender is able to take down JJ if he catches that ball in stride.

Realistically, I think the Rams played much better than expected. However, I think the 49ers played far worse than expected.
