Little concerning. Was hoping we could blow out the Rams and maybe rest some guys late in the 2nd half. Instead we had to play everyone until the final whistle, dinged up Aiyuk, and pretty much ran cmc into the ground.

Not an ideal way to set off our home opener. I think we won't be on top our game and that might open a window for a desperate Giants team
Jones as a runner could be a potential threat to this D. Still I think we win.

23 touches total is running in to the ground ?

Some people thought the rams game was going to be over by half. I won't be surprised if it's a close one for awhile then maybe we pull away.

Also weird s**t happens on Thursdays. Gameplans are condensed, there's less time for r est and practice, normally that favors the team playing at home versus the one traveling across the country but anything can happen.
They need to get Bell involved more in this game. Aiyuk looked like he's hurt. I think Bell can help.

Quality over quantity. CMC takes a beating with those touches. He's plays hard and you him just running into the pile every play.

don't get why Kyle is so Mitchell averse now. This was his starting RB two seasons ago, and now he's in the dog house. Why not use him like we did Breida when we had Mostert as RB1 and Breida providing relief ? It seems like Kyle is just obsessed with keeping CMC in the lineup and yes that will eventually run him into the ground.

I think another poster said it best. Kyle is like the kid on Christmas that gets his new toy and just keeps playing with it until it breaks

with that logic, maybe we should sit brock a few plays because of fear

using him in the Pitt game is a good example of over using him, this game isn't

You missed the point. What's wrong with bringing in someone like Mitchell in between to give CMC some relief and maybe change up the running game a little bit?

yes cmc is our main workhorse and should be getting the majority of the snaps. But it doesn't hurt to get your once upon a time starting RB some game reps. And obviously Mason is just there for preseason fervor nothing more…

the reason we kept him in, is we needed win every play today. Teams don't give the same attention to other backs like they do with CMC

I mean they played until the final whistle too....

And now they will most likely not have Saquon.
