very UNFAIR to say that DC is our weakest link when he's only been coaching here for 2 games... up to this point, OUR STRENGHT IS OUR WEAKNESS.. and that's KYLE !!

It is in my opinion. There's certainly some areas of the team that could be upgraded, OT, #4 DE, and outside corner, but I think most of our issue vs the Rams were coaching not personnel.

Depends on the coach. Harbaugh and Roman never would change no matter the results. You could swap in the best corners in the league into the soft zone and the results would be the same. In some ways it's worse it's a coaching problem.

If wilks thinks he's right and won't take feedback the results will be consistent all year.

Yep, that is my biggest concern. Hopefully he improves though. I'd like to see more base fronts and force teams to pass.

We have some very fast OLB's... I say we use them.
Billy the towel boy, he doesn't do well in the rain, needs more reps
Might be kind of a curveball here, but I think our biggest "weakness" is the sheer expectations for this season. With the last few years ending with a SB and 2 CG losses, this isn't a "Cinderella" season by any stretch where we get to enjoy each week.

Any game where we don't look sharp in all aspects, even in a win, will inevitably feel like we are "weakened". I'd say expectations and the entire length of the regular season can be a challenge. Insert "one game at a time" cliche here.
not bringing home the trophy to where it belongs.

My hope is that coaching will develop the young players on those two squads (OL and DB). Near the end of the regular season, I hope those squads are strengths not weaknesses. Arrow up for McKivits, Burford needs to improve, Oliver looks good, looking forward to seeing Jai're in for a few plays. Deommodore got an Int, and hopefully tightens his coverage better. Ward and Hufanga look all pro this year.
I think the secondary is now pulling away. Was really hoping Wilks could coach these dudes up but now hoping we make a move for help before the trade deadline.
CB's
The third CB is an issue. I'm not certain why Oliver isn't kept at slot and Lenoir at CB. That seems the strongest duo. Keep Ambry away. As for others, Luter could start practicing this week. Meanwhile, Kendall Sheffield from the PS got playing time at CB at the end. He had three tackles and one tackle for loss. There's also Anthony Brown on the active roster. Both Sheffield and Brown are new, less the two weeks. So maybe they get more playing time down the road.

CB opposite 7 been suckin...

RUN D been suckin too..

GAME PLANNING had sucked fort the last 5 years..
Same as we knew all offseason, Center/Right OL, CB/DB. Run plugging DT. They did nothing to address these needs and surprise they are still needs.

Sounds like 1994. We knew none of it mattered until we won it all. We just won by 19 where the offense barely had the ball, yet scored on every possession save for one and people want coaches fired.

Agree on 3rd QB, but I'm on the fence with Wilks's defense. Having a hurt Womack is what's keeping Thomas out there. Hopefully we get our other CBs up to speed and Womack and Luter are ready to go soon. I think the DBs will get closer to last year's levels when Thomas isn't playing.

Agree pass rush has to get home. But also really porous on inside runs. Maybe go five man base now and then.

pass rush is fine. Teams are getting rid of the ball immediately and were still almost getting there.

Also allowing 66 rush yards/game so far which is 3rd in NFL. Lot of their yards came from Dobbs off the blitz
