SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs NEW YORK GIANTS - 2023 Season Game 3

And ? we all can read the boxscore...Im giving my observations on his route running in the passing game. Hes still very good in YAC after making a catch, but the explosive route-based stuff like leaks and posts that were successful last year and in prior years... he gets very little separation and pass gets broken up or just not thrown
Giants have been outscored 70-12 on prime-time this season.
this 30 score for three games in a row is creeping me out

I'm just talking about Purdy. The rest of the team is gonna get better. I'm beginning to wonder about the right side of the oline, though.

Shanny needs to get off his star players in predictable situations-- it's getting to be a tell, if it's not already.

I get that you're saying Purdy played to perfection and the rest will play better. In what ways can CMC, Deebo, Bell and Kittle improve from tonight?

Is this Brock's Mom? Brock settled in but perfection he was not.

That guy was incredible. Lol kept flipping the field position in really tough situations. He gets my first team all pro vote. Lmao

Hard to be perfect when you got a rusher in your face every throw, because they blitzed zero, almost every down starting the game off. Once, the protection got better and Brock adjusted, he started Dirtying.

***Giants blitzed Brock Purdy all night, and he made them pay***

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy turned in another outstanding game on Thursday night, shredding the Giants' blitz repeatedly.
Purdy dropped back to pass 39 times and the Giants blitzed him on 33 of those, a blitz rate of 84.6 percent, according to Next Gen Stats. As far back as Next Gen Stats has data, that's the most that any defense has ever blitzed in any game.

Purdy made them pay, completing 20 of 31 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions in the 49ers' 30-12 win.
"When they're blitzing, we can capitalize on offense with some big plays, and we had some stuff dialed up for what we were going to do when they did blitz," Purdy said after the game, via Newsday. Still, Purdy wasn't celebrating too much after the 49ers improved to 3-0. "I don't want to get caught up in stats and stuff," Purdy said. "There's some throws out there that I missed." Purdy will keep improving, but he's already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Good game. It wasn't perfect obviously but thursday night games are always weird.
The Defense is still super legit. Steve Wilkes is doing a really good job so far apart from the second quarter against the Rams. But it was McVay + Stafford so even that is not really catastrophic.
The offense seems more ready that it is usually with Kyle at this point of the season.
Super impressed by the Niners so far.

The bolded part makes me Brock hard
CMC is averaging 5.9 yards per carry in the first three weeks. Even with us taking away a lot of his reps tonight, he still nearly cracked 100. Dude is a monster. Wish he would of been able to hold onto the touchdown pass one. That was good defense by the D player - he smacked the tip of the ball when he hand came down.

Its a good target for sure. I think in the Pitt and NY game we could have scored more if we wanted. We went into clock killing mode
Page 39 of the Giants gameday thread is fascinating.

Don't ever change, NY.
