49ERS vs CARDINALS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 4

our long snapper didn't even know how divisions and conferences worked until his second year in the NFL. This is what I mean when I say a lot of players don't know s**t about football - they just play cause they're good at it but don't care or watch it. I remember Mcnabb didn't even know teams could tie. A lot of football players don't watch or know much about the sport - that's why I appreciate when people like Brock are just obsessive and nerds about the game.
This is the Rams to me again.

They should not be a team that hangs with us unless we play garbage level football.

Difference is they don't have Stafford at QB or McVay calling plays. They have been playing a LOT better than I expected and I thought Dallas was going to roll them but we're a much more physical team than Dallas so them running the ball and playing physical isn't going to make us piss our pants the way Dallas did.

Also helps that we just saw them take out the Cowboys so hopefully the squad won't be overlooking them.

No excuses for this one...play smart football, stay healthy and walk away 4-0.

Niners just need to get this win and stay healthy, that's it.

Just like life, it goes by fast.

The Cardinals are playing hard and after upsetting the Cowboys, they must feel everyone's beatable. I've watched bits and pieces of Cardinals games this season, and they look to be a very different team from the Rams. On offense, they rely on Connor's running. On defense, their strength is in the secondary. I think this will be a grind it out type of game with 9ers controlling the clock with the ground game. I expect CMC, Deebo, Mitchel, and Mason to have big day.

He's awful. I didn't mind him initially but the longer he hasn't played, the worse he gets. He clearly plays favorites and you can hear it in his commentary.

It'll be very interesting to see how the cards play in their first away game. we should win convincingly but These divisional games are unpredictable. The big advantage that I think we have is that this new coaching staff isn't familiar with us like a Pete Carroll or Mcvay team is. The DC did gameplan for us in the NFCC last year but that's different than playing each other twice a year.

I watched the cowboy - cards game, the cards D played very well. Their corners were sticky and their linebackers were flying around. Their d line didn't seem to have a great pass rush by any means, but their secondary looked good. Like I've said before, idk if it's cause the head coach came from Philly and is very familiar with playing the cowboys. We will see.

they're not as bad as we thought but that offense shouldn't be able to do much against our D.

Their offense is predicated on running the ball and not committing turnovers. They do have some sneaky speed in Hollywood Brown and Moore.

If they can't run, they are in big trouble.

Yeah, I think we will stop their run. I don't think Dobbs has the ability to play the quick passing game the same way Stafford can either, so he won't have much time to pass.

hopefully we dominate them so I can talk more crap to my friends who are cowboy fans. Lol
