i think the biggest difference between the 49ers & Cowboys comes down to leadership and qb temperament.
our team has exceptional leadership by numerous guys. On both sides of the ball. We also have a qb who has great emotional maturity and doesn't get impacted by the moment and melt (so far). When we've seen Brock have to put the game on his shoulders (the few times it's happened), he's come through. Dak has shown time and time again that he crumbles under pressure and throws horribly timed picks - which his teammates know and lose confidence in him in those moments.
i think we have the edge at home and with our leadership. Hopefully their o line is still banged up too. Our guys will feast - I'm still waiting on our first big time sack game of 6+ sacks
Cowboys beat those NY teams and thought they were all that
They beat a deflated jets team, who's talented, but let by Zach Wilson - the worst starting qb in the league. Then they beat the garbage ass giants. Lol
cowboys have a good team and when they're playing from ahead, they are good, but they struggle with adversity. They also struggle when they have to depend on dak. They also should of done more to get a better second back to compliment Pollard.
i love that they make those mistakes. Too much disconnect between jones & McCarthy. Instead of using a fourth round pick to pick up a quality running back - he traded for Trey Lance and is using a 53 roster spot on a qb when they usually only carry 2. Lol I just love the dysfunction.
I'm not really worried about the Cowboys if we take care of business. Shannon Sharpe broke it down on First Take really well:
The Cowboys are led by an opportunistic defense---You don't let the Cowboys beat you with sacks and turnovers. That's what they thrive on. From there, Dak Prescott and their offense works off short fields, momentum, and play with a lead. If a team runs the ball well, plays disciplined football, the Cowboys aren't as scary and Dak Prescott is forced to be the catalyst. When you force that on him, history's shown that he folds.
It's why the Cardinals were able to beat them, despite being a young team. It's why we've eliminated the Cowboys two years in a row in the playoffs. We run the ball well and don't turn the ball over.
