I'm not commenting on the fact that most of the markets chose New England vs. Dallas -- they probably have two of the top 5-6 fanbases on the league. I understand it, it makes sense.

That said, CBS only has a single game on Sunday. One of those games they can broadcast is Miami vs. Buffalo -- a genuinely interesting game. I also think Baltimore vs. Cleveland is interesting. On the other hand, CBS also has one of the most putrid games you could imagine, Denver vs. Chicago. Here's the map for CBS. Yellow is Denver vs. Chicago, red is Buffalo vs Miami. Green is Raiders vs Chargers (why is this being show in any market outside of the west)? I live in Utah and it boggles my mind that the affiliates here continue to be under the impression that Denver, no matter how horrible, is a game they must show every week. While Denver does in fact have more fans than other NFL teams in Utah, it is a really LOW plurality. The 49ers are a strong #2, the Raiders probably #3 and then probably a number of fans of the Cowboys/Steelers/Pats/Packers. Utah is a market that should always show the best game if Denver is crappy and not playing a good opponent. Yet they do this crap each and every single year, "hey Utah is also in the Rockies, let's show the PoS Broncos!" I believe the same can be said for Idaho, Montana and probably New Mexico. Salt Lake is over 500 miles away from Denver, Phoenix is only 100 miles further, Vegas is much closer and the bay area is 200 more miles away than Denver.

What'd Minnesota do to deserve Chargers/Raiders?

How about Tampa, Philly and Nashville amongst others? I'm utterly confused. Houston v Pittsburgh is orange and that's only being shown in Eastern PA and WV and Texas. But the Raiders and Chargers are in Philly, Charlotte and Indy amongst others.

Buffalo v Miami and even Baltimore v Cleveland are interesting games. Only the local markets should be showing crap like the Denver v Chicago games.

And on defense I think we will be fine this week with Warner and Burks. And maybe give Winters or Graham a shot for 1 week. I want everyone healthy for the Sunday night game vs the Cowboys. Niners are one of the very few teams who can sit 2 or 3 stars and still be loaded.

But this game is a divisional game. 49ers can't afford to lose these.

Sorry to spam up this thread even more, but I think I figured out what's going with places like Indy, Tampa, Minnesota and Nashville getting the terrible Chargers v Raiders game. It's the only late game that CBS has and they didn't want to go up against local games being broadcast on Fox in the early slot.

It goes to show you how dumb the league's policy is with only having around 3 late games -- they showing a completely uninteresting game to these market because that's either mandated by the NFL to not compete with the local game or the affiliates feel they just dont want to compete with the local game.
They ran straight at Parsons alot of time and it worked out pretty well for them. I wonder if they will use that same approach with bosa.
Go 49ers!
So we don't really have the same TV coverage system here in the UK. There are basically two means of viewing - Game Pass, which costs around 180 US Dollars equivalent for a season, and gives you 95% of all NFL games high-quality streaming only; and Sky television, who screen a small number of games each week as part of their satellite TV package. Some of the Sky games are blacked out for Game Pass, which is super-annoying, but luckily you can get a day pass for streaming Sky Sports for around 20 USD or so.

I was wondering if, given the state-wide blackouts and stuff, US viewers ever road-trip into other states just to watch games in bars?

Problem is Bosa knows how to shed his blocks and make TFL's. I'm sure teams tried that all last year.

For parsons run game has always been the weaker part of his game

Not if you ask cowboy fans. He is the greatest defensive player in the NFL. Because unlike Nick Bosa he plays coverage and is a better run defender.

Plus, Bosa is bigger. He's got an inch on Parsons, plus 30-extra pounds of muscle mass. Both players are in excellent shape. But Bosa's size makes it tough on teams who attempt to run straight at him. The only way to get away with that strategy is to routinely double-team the guy, and that just opens up opportunities for multiple other players on the 49er D.

I actually think Bosa's defense against the run may be better than hs pass rush. There are 3 or 4 guys in the league that are quicker that can get to the QB but none of them except maybe Mies Garrett can stoo the run as well as Bosa.
