This. What's new is everyone has a camera now and all incidents are filmed for the appropriate amount of rage reaction on social media sites.

The stories I heard about knock down, drag out fights in the Candlemistake Park parking lot were the stuff of legend. None of them, however, were filmed.

This isn't new. But look at the world in general, everyone seems to be more aggressive and angry in general. It's just sucks that bad eggs can ruin sports, where it's an escape from reality.
