Our fans on some online forums kind of suck. I've been saying for a few years now that we have some of the worst (it's actually gotten we warned a few times here), but then you see that we are the best traveling team in the NFL and it's not even close, and knowing that how can we be? I've come to the realization that our fans are fine, like most fanbases, it's some online who repeat their dumb ideas/opinions ad nauseam that makes it seem like our fans are so bad. They aren't. Our fans rock.

Agreed.
A very loud and idiotic minority of fans on social media…
That's not speaking to the fights though. I think that's not unique to our fanbase and everyone has a camera.

Alcohol + self entitlement = current circumstance
Hell you can also remove the Alcohol and it could still happen.
When you have reasonable people (even when drunk), if there is an incident that might be a potential starting point for an altercation.... both parties would try to deescalate the situation... or at least one party would put more effort, if not walk away.

OK. First the soccer hooligan thing. In most of the top leagues in Europe, especially in Britain which used to be proverbial for "crowd trouble", the problem has been solved for almost 30 years now. A combination oi better (not stricter, better) policing, all seater stadiums (the old terraces with crowds of young men running at the opposing fans and stampeding then were the main menace, rather than hooligans actually hitting people), and very high prices have seen to that. Also, alcohol has been banned from consumption within sight of the pitch for almost 40 years now, and the ushers are empowered to turn away obviously drunk fans. There are serious hooligan problems now in the poorer countries in Europe in the East, places like the Balkans (there was a fairly horrific street fight in Greece by Croatian hooligans just the other day). Social problems, plus extremely shady "owners" from the fringes of (or smack from) the underworld using the "fans" as private armies, cause these issues. The USA has also very serious social problems, but of a different sort.
As a foreigner but very staunch Americanophile I think your problems are quite US-specific.
1. Your police is very heavy handed, and is basically an all-or-nothing proposition. Either they're not there, or they come in with bazookas blazing. Not the best way to get buy-in from a community. In Britain, despite having a police which is often looked at suspiciously by communities (especially minorities) matchday policing is done in a very efficient way. Horsemounted and stationary police with HUGE horses that serve as natural crowd breakers as we flow to and from the stadiums, and UNARMED police which tends to relax everyone. As I said, I don't paint our police with rosy colours, they can have among them some real pieces of work. But the system is now working after the disasters of the 80s (Heysel, Hillsborough).
2. Availability of personal firearms (and yes, I know about different state and city laws) which makes people fidgety and short fused ("is he carrying?", "do I take a chance? Shall I take him out with a sucker punch to make sure?).
3. An increasingly confrontational and divided public discourse. I have been travelling (and even lived for a couple of years) in the US for 30 years now, and I definitely see people more on edge, more divided, and more ready to despise their fellow citizens. Politics, obviously, is the main culprit here. It's a pity, considering the solidarity I remember after 2001, and a main problem you guys need to address.
I've been in many NFL (and baseball) stadiums over the years: Candlestick was always one of the dodgier experiences: the neighbourhood didn't feel like the safest, and the rundown facilities made things look seedier. Seattle never felt supersafe either because of the aggressive tone of the home fans taunting. Oddly enough I never felt threatened in the Meadowlands (both old and new), or in Philadelphia - though the latter is not a typical case from me since I've lived there, I'm a Phillies fan in baseball, and I know the city like the back of my hand. The old Vet was "not nice", to put it nicely, but the new place is much better.
I haven't been in Santa Clara yet (next week will be my first in the new stadium), but I hear it's better than Candlestick.

the attorney's office reported he had underlying medical issues and autopsy results revealed his death was not from any sort of sustained injury.
if the Miami guy doesn't fight with him, the guy is still alive.
just like guys who get punched and hit their head on the ground and die
and if he didn't have underlying medical issues, he doesn't die, either. autopsy showed medical issue, not a traumatic injury sustained from the fight.

It's not just 49er fans. It's all fans. It's all people. We're an angry society right now. Violence on TV. Violence in video games. Violence in our daily lives.

I mean, look at this board. Someone posted a couple a weeks ago, a what if we could only afford to keep Aiyuk or Deebo - who would you prefer? And they were attacked and accused of being a "fake fan", a "hater", or just trying to stir stuff up. This generally hapens also, any time someone posts an opinion that is outside of "OMG the 49ers are awesome and amazing and are perfect in everything they do!".
Answer : Morality decline in the USA.

When you mix alcohol and people, there's a solid chance violence will happen. They aren't going to stop selling, so the only option would to tighten security, assuming they even care.
