Its a game. Entertainment. Not a life altering event too many fans act like it is. Add copious amounts of booze and the most abundant element on earth begins to shine. Stupidity.

Well said, lol.

I've been seeing this for a few years now, our fan's level of knowledge of the game and impulse control is at an all time low. We have people that are constantly talking about firing everyone or trading our best players away after a win. In addition to that, it seems like once a week TMZ is doing a story about our fans not only fighting, but fighting each other! Today a story appeared in my news feed about a woman who was slung down the steps in the stands by her hair (by another Niner fan). Seriously, I've been a fan for over three decades and I can't remember it ever being this bad.

What do you think it is? Can it be fixed?

Agree.

IMO, it's a reflection of the whole country.

Why? I'm sure there is more than just one reason and alcohol is definitely one of them

A Dolphins fan just killed an Patriots fan this past sunday

supposedly the guy hit him and he went into cardiac arrest, thats killing to me

the attorney's office reported he had underlying medical issues and autopsy results revealed his death was not from any sort of sustained injury.
NFL coverup going into effect. Can't have that bad press.

stupid conspiracy theory going into effect.

Right? Seriously get over it. You must have never had the pleasure of a giants game against la at the stick, raiders game in Oakland or a 49er game at the stick against dallas. It's sports.. animal instincts fueled by booze and passion. It's a release from everyday stress and worries. It's community, a place where you escape to be with like minded people.. cheering for the same cause. it's ok for folks to not know everything about the game as long as they cheer for the red and gold. No standards for admission into the club except for one. Cheer for the 49ers. The only line you don't cross is disrespecting your fellow fan. You don't hurt the ones that love the same team as you. Not with violence and not with words. The other team….. well let's just say you stop at what the law dictates. It's sports, it's fun. We don't need to be lectured or talked down to by those that think they know more about the team or sport than others, be and let be. Enjoy and let others enjoy. Be respectful and kind and all is good but stick the lecture where it belongs.

Raiders @ 49ers at Candlestick during the 2000 season was sheer carnage. You could see fights throughout the stands all game long. Absolutely nothing comparable to that happening at Levi's.

Honestly was one of the best games I ever went to, in spite of the Raiders winning in OT.
The biggest fight I've ever seen was at candlestick vs the Bears.

Bears and 49ers fans don't get along apparently.

I think it was in 2009. There was a 20-30 person brawl. I'm talking about 20-30 people fighting, not just pushing people near Mid section 15.

Our fan base is made up of a unique quilt of sorts. The old wine and cheese crowd and the gangbanger thugs. Alcohol + testosterone + stupidity = fights galore. I can almost guarantee you most of the morons fighting have virtually zero football knowledge.
Probably just more people with cameras and more to voice their opinion/troll. Actually think we have an amazing fan base banding together taking over stadiums to support the 9ers. Even last year it wasn't but 3 games and the whole crowd started to chant in support of Mr Irrelevant

This, and it's legal there so no excuses.
Fan violence is a part of sports at all levels. Look at how often you read about some parent at a soccer match going after the referee or some parent going after the umpire at a little league game. I saw fights at Kezar back in the day. Every stadium has them.
Nothing's changed about fandom, but it's all just magnified by social media. We all know fans who are reactionary and extreme, but now they all have a forum to blast out their opinions for all to see. It's just exposure.
Looks like our fans our at it again at Soldier field and SoFi stadium
