I like it, They are certainly not without their flaws, but it makes sense to keep going. Our franchise is golden compared to most others.

Agreed, not perfect by any means, but they've grown, and gotten better & better each year, takes time. I'm happy to have both signed long term, and thankfully their salaries, whatever they are lol.

I am curious to, you need to do a spreadsheet on how much the York's have spent on coaching staffs since they took over. It's probably eye opening.

I wish I could, as hard as it is to get player salaries, it's harder to get HC salaries, but I imagine they've spent a lot, from Mooch, Erickson, Nolan, Singletary, Harbaugh, Tomsula, Kelly, now Shanahan that's a lot of HCs over their time, I forget when the York's took over, I know sometime after their last SB win.

I doubt they have spent out of line with other franchises. It is part of the cost of being in the club.

Yep, probably the only franchises that haven't paid out there ass for extra coaches are NE & PIT, Belicheck & Tomlin have been there forever.
My reaction?

As analogy: Many an time Herr York appears as the merman stranded at beach with his delicacies hanging out, lonely and blue in his center, but at once this time Herr York secured an fully inebriated mermaid to have his happy times with in Shanahan. Thusly, it may be said that while Herr York clearly lacks navigational talent, he has the power of endure, which allows him to maintain his steadfastness in pursuance of the legendary booty of Lombardi.
Is there some reason they haven't announced the length of the extension or how much its for?

I mean there is no other coach/GM tandem I'd want right now or would be an upgrade to Shanny/Lynch. I'm good with this extension. Each earh we've been in the mix for the SB. The QB position is whats kept us from getting over that hump and it looks like we might have solved that problem.

Yeah, that was a huge step forward. As Kyle said, Brock is *REAL GOOD.*

QB Brock Purdy was saying after the game that things started out a little choppy, but over the course of the game you guys started to figure out the blitzes a little bit more, kind of understood when they might happen and how they might happen. When that happens and you're kind of doing things in-game like that, how does that happen? Does it come from your coaches up above? Is it the quarterback kind of talking to you? How do you kind of figure things out as the game's going on?
"All the above. There weren't many changes made. It was more just settling Brock down on the looks and stuff and just helping describe to him what he just saw. If he did see something and missed it, just to explain why he missed it and to show the look of how many people are in this spot, 'Hey, that's this look.' Ask him why he saw it differently, things like that. And that's why teams disguise. That's why they do a bunch of stuff. But, nothing we had to make up. You've just got to coach when guys come to the sideline."
Is he good at that?
"Yeah, he's real good at that. Yeah, he's real good."

I disagree. Mistakes like that will kill this franchise. We just haven't seen it yet. Because of the draft errors and Lance mistake we have missed out on one or two superbowls during this superbowl window. We are one or two injuries away from being a sub .500 team.

I remember the niners royally screwing up draft after draft in the early to mid 90s. Nobody cared because they were still winning. Then it happened. Steve Young got concussed and the team went into shambles. These mistakes will catch up. The stars are aging. The young guys are mediocre with the exception of bosa.

Totally disagree. I put the blame on injuries. As to your comment about us being one or two injuries away from being a sub .500 team, have you been paying attention the last few years? Obviously not. Well, try to. The last few years we have had some of the deepest injury lists I have seen and yet we have stayed in contention. But now all of a sudden, two injuries will take us sub .500!

The stars are ageing and the youngsters are mediocre? Aiyuk 25, Banks 26, Bell 23, Bosa 25, Darnold 26, Greenlaw 26, Hufuanga 23, Jennings 26, McCaffrey 27, Mitchell 25, Purdy 23, Deebo 27, Warner 26. And aside from Deebo and McCaffrey, these are all guys that figure as mediocre in your view.

I don't recall seeing this volume of wrongness in one post for a long time.

Assuming you aren't familiar with his posts then. They're constantly bad / wrong.

I've stayed away because of our stupid fan base.

Exhibit A.

Darn. Almost like you've been replaced by others who post exactly the same s**t as you
if Lynch/Shanny were to be canned after this year, they would be picked up almost immediately by another franchise.

There would be a few cars at HQ ready to pick them up
