All I know is when I see QB's hitting their quick passes they seem to build a ton of confidence against this defense as the game goes on and its annoying AF!!!

Would you rather the pass rush hold up and not get there so quick and hope our secondary doesn't give up the big play?

Imo, they can dink and dunk all game long. Chances of them putting together 4-5 ten play TD drives a game is pretty damn low.

I mean you're right but it is a glaring weakness of the defense. But hopefully the offense can continue to put up points to take pressure off the defense. I hope they drop 30+ on Dallas 5 weeks in a row, that would be sick!!!

People seem to look at passing yards allowed per game (17th) and get worried. The truth is, offenses cannot run the ball on us and our pass rush is getting there very quickly. So they have no choice but to go to a short, quick passing game. When you look at our pass defense from a YPA lens, we are ranked 3rd in the NFL.

As I understand it, they may be participating but they aren't 100% healthy. Cowboy's OLine is hurting a bit and will try to get through the game with them. One reason is that they don't seem to be confident in the backup Dallas offensive tackles. We shall see.

Teams typically can't hold up the short accurate passing game all game, either. Stafford threw a few picks eventually. Dobbs had 2-3 picks dropped by us but should have. Dak will throw some too - it'll be the main difference in this game.

i think they'll move lamb to the slot and pick on Ambry - hopefully he plays solid.

Exactly. Like everyone else we have faced, Dak will be held to his season low in YPA and most likely turn it over once or twice when he gets frustrated and tries to force something.
Someone needs to ask if Luter and Gray have had practice windows opened yet.

No I don't care about passing yards, I care about QB's finding their rhythm. But with that said I don't see Dak as that rhythm passer, I think he tries to go for the knockout punch more than keeping game within reach, thats why I think he struggles when he falls behind.

I haven't seen an issue with our defensive gameplan up to this point. The only issues that I have seen is defensive players not finishing plays and when we have rested starters at the end of a half/end of the game when he have had big leads. We have dropped a handful of INT's which would have certainly knocked those QB's out of rhythm. We have took starters off the field when up big which has lead to long scoring drives for the opposition.

Agree, they will pick on Deommodore or Ambry. I know I would. What I would like to see, is Wilks going nickel and dime on those 3rd down and long situations, instead of staying is base big nickel. I'd dare the Cowboys to run it at our DLine and Linebackers. Now having said that, Dallas does have a decent run game - so would mix it up and not go dime *every* third and long situation, or run blitzing from that Dime defense.
where is the vegas line at right now?

An even more ideal situation would be for us to score early on offense and put pressure that we're going to be putting up TD's. If an opposing QB gets impatient, that will lead to mistakes. It could lead to them abandoning the running game. Hopefully we start fast and put together some 7, 8 play drives that lead to TDs.

I'm hoping we see some new wrinkles. I'd like to see us play press more and not give 6+ yard of cushion every down. This season, dak has only thrown short, so he will take the short game that we will give. Hopefully it doesn't result in super long drives again. I think dak will struggle to sustain it more than others that we've faced.
This game will come down to which offense can punch it in in the redzone.

Redzone efficiency

SF- 66.67% or 1.5 TD's per game.

Our offense has been highly efficient in the redzone but DAL defense has been stellar there.

Our rezone defense has been as suspect as DAL offense. However, both defenses allow only around 2 redzone trips per game. While both offenses get into the redzone almost 5 times per game.

If you ask me what's scarier. Our red one offense (good) vs their RZ defense (good) OR their red zone offense (bad) vs our RZ defense (bad), the advantage goes to Dallas.

they are more likely to score on us in the RZ than we are against their D.

scary
