Dan Quinn runs an aggressive defense that plays nickel as its base package and plays man coverage.

we have guys that can beat man coverage (assuming we give Qb time) and we can power through them in their base nickel package.

Dan Quinn is probably still running the Pete Carroll scheme. We have the guys to beat that scheme now, with Kittle and Juice. I look forward to our tight ends (not named Kittle) to have a big game, unless of course the TEs are used to chip block Parsons.

I look forward to the run game road grading the Dallas defense if they stay in nickel.

they have played nickel and dime packages in over 90% of first and 2nd down snaps I'm assuming 3rd down it depends on how short to go it is

Kittle baby. We have been saving him. You know they will do everything possible to negate CMC. I fully expect that from opposing teams going forward.
Cant wait

True but the Cowboys defense has scored almost as much as they've allowed. That's a scary defense. But maybe the secret to beating them is a QB who doesn't choke under pressure. Well, we got one of those.

they have a huge playmaking D. They play a high reward/high risk D which makes them look great against inferior competition. But they are ways to take advantage of them. In run game they get aggressive and overpursue and them playing man coverage allows our guys to take advantage because little Deebo and Aiyuk can all beat man coverage. Ill add Jennings there too

I hope Deebo and Jennings are healed and good to go

But according to some posters if we do win it won't mean anything in regards to what kind of team we truly are because the Cowboys are missing Diggs.
I agree with Gary Plummer.

lol nobody cares when half our team has been hurt the last 5 years. It certainly sucks, but that's football.

I think Quinn is going to dial up a ton of run blitzes to try to shut down CMC from the start. I see safeties in the box and press man on the line. Quick slants need to be an extension of the run game, but they will have to be willing to take deep shots to back the safeties up. I agree this could be a Kittle kind of game. Quick digs and outs from him could relieve the pressure they surely want to get on Purdy and CMC.

That cowboys defense has faced the 20th, 25th, 26th & 38th ranked QB's this season. They are good but how good are they really? We'll find out Sunday night.

Which rank are you using?

Anyway I hope you're right. That defense scares me.

Diggs makes them better, sure, but he's not on the team this year. Moreover, he's not Deion. He's a good corner, but he's not changing the game.

The problem with deep shots is that pass rush. I think in several cases, punting will be the right option. This feels like it will be like the 90s: whoever turns the ball over loses.

what were the cowboys thinking, they have the YAC brothers on their team? Yeah, let's toss a pass to our own 30 yard line when we need 76 yards for a tie with 6 seconds left. I guess it's better than last time when they didn't even get the play started and ran out of time lol.

I DONT trust Wilks and his soft defensive calls…

Its really only been about 5 Drives this year that they were soft.

2 of them yesterday.

I still think he is just learning with this Defense. Expecting it to gel through the season.
