49ERS vs COWBOYS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 5

not sure how this is a TWP…..? If they're counting stuff like this then idk how reliable that stat is. I'm one of the guys who think that stat is a cool piece of data but what the hell is this?

once you see how the sausage is made you don't eat it

no QB in nfl history has had such a YPA (aka aggressive passing) game with that kind of completion %. Incredible

i was just telling Smokey how good of a game allen had yesterday, you can see that by the top two on this chart. Very impressive performances by Brock & Allen, great company.

lol. Is that serious? That's a TWP? Ridiculous.
impressive streak by all three. It's even more impressive when you realize all of them have started 10 games or less overall.

i have a lot of respect for Dobbs after watching him this month. I really liked stroud out of the draft and am happy for demeco. I love that Brock is on this streak. Idk who will keep it the longest but I think Brock plays the most aggressive of the bunch.

I know Brock will eventually lose one but I think that stat says volumes about Brock, specifically his mental strength. Playing in prime time games when the lights are the brightest, he brings his best. That's awesome, guys like Daniel jones gets worse - he's 1-11 in night time games.

I love it when the pressure is the most and a player does their best, I always admired that about montana and Brady. Brock has special intangibles and I feel so fortunate we have him.

That's one of many things great about Brock, he shines under pressure. It's like he craves it lol. He loves a challenge, it lights the fire, he wants to demonstrate that he can succeed at whatever is thrown at him.
LOl I just realized that I was posting all this Brock stuff in the gameday thread. I apologize!

It pertains to the thread lol

All stats to piss off Dak more hahaa

this guy isn't going anywhere. He's developed into a monster and I love having him. I think he's a top 3 Wr when you factor in COMPLETE WR.

he run blocks with the best of em, can run the entire route tree well, great hands, great teammate. He's the whole package. Excellent pick by our front office

I'm excited for this. Cowboys defense is a great litmus test for Purdy and the offense, at this stage in the season.

No doubt that they can put up points on the average NFL defense, but excited to see how Purdy does against an elite defense that will be hellbent on stopping the run and forcing mistakes on his part. If he plays disciplined football and protects the football, we should be able to pull away from them in the second half.

He did it last year, and Jimmy did it the season before. Purdy's even better than he was last year and the offense is red hot right now. I'd be absolutely shocked if they struggle.

For our defense, we should be able to handle their offense as we have in the previous two games. The difference though is how will Steve Wilks choose to scheme against the Cowboys?

49ers beat Dallas's defense twice WITH Trevon Diggs too. That said I do expect a good game and expect to see them a second time in the playoffs.

Dallas has a good defense but overall I'm just not impressed by them, who have they really beat??? Jets, Giants and Pats, you gotta be frickin kidding me. But lose convincingly to the Cards. I don't buy their hype at all.

Agreed. Shannon Sharpe has been railing on them the past couple weeks, and he's absolutely correct. They play opportunistic, pressure defense and are really good at snowballing and bullying weak offenses. The Jets (Zach Wilson isn't great), Giants (Daniel Jones isn't great), and Patriots (Mac Jones isn't great) simply wilted under the pressure. The Cardinals came and ran the ball, and Dobbs came ready to play... and the Cowboys found they couldn't bully them. No reason why we can't again beat them as we have the last two years.

Could it not be the deep throw to Aiyuk into double coverage that Aiyuk had to make a finger tips catch? How does Karan know it was that specific play?
