only one niner TE in franchise history has had 3 TDs in a game, Vernon Davis. Now it's both.

Our boy has 9 TDs and 0 INT - pretty awesome.
Yet they still talk about Dak like he's better.

" I don't know how you get rid of the ball that quickly and still hit somebody 20 yards down field".

It's a long season. And it's only five games. So anything can happen. And as niner fans, we have PTSD, and we're cautious.
So I won't project or get my hopes up...I'll just comment on what I've seen in five games.
The outrageous level of my expectations have somehow been met by the performance of this team. When they blow a drive or get 3 instead of 7, I'm furious. And that's a good thing. Because my absolutely unreasonable expectations mean that this team has reached the level of where they were when Montana, Rice, Watters, Deion, Norton, McDonald, Sapolu, etc. were suiting up.
MAYBE, there were times I felt this way with Garcia, Owens, and Hearst about the offense. But the defense was blah at best then.
The fact that this unrealistic standard is back makes me thrilled. They won 42-10 and I still feel ilke they could have won 49-0.
This is fun. And I hope they can keep it up. Even if they lost this game, I was fine with it. Because they took care of business in their first four games and beat the teams they were supposed to. Unlike last year and other years, where they dropped games and looked sleepy against far inferior teams.
They're dialed in. I was already a huge Purdy guy last year. What he's doing is absolutely insane. And he's getting better. Smart, decisive, confident. It's a treat to watch this team.
I've always loved this team and always will. Even when they were 2-14 with the only two wins coming against the s**tty cardinals in overtime in, what was it, 06? 07?
There have been dark dark days. There have been bright days punctuated with heartbreaking failure at the NFCCG and SB level. So I'm not going to go beyond this week like so many in the media will. I just hope and pray, that the ever elusive sixth lombardi has a shot again this year. But that's me doing what I said I wouldn't do.
So I'll soak in this one and just hope another W is on the way in Cleveland.
And f**k the eagles. They're a lucky 5-0 and they play like the Russell Wilson Seahawk teams. Sure, they're winning but it's broken down play after play and Hurts and co. getting lucky. Hope it runs out.
Running diatribe post. I'm overtired, had about five beers, and am stoked about this win.
Cheers boys and girls. Enjoy the ride.

I feel sorry for the CRYBoys fans. They get their hopes up so much each year.
