We're overdue for a reasonably healthy season. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

The only teams that concern me are the Eagles and Chiefs. We are clearly better than everyone else. We have a good chance against those too. But those 2 would have a chance against us also.

It's the extra men on the field, that the Chiefs and Eagles have - that concern me the most.

Please stop with the conspiracy stuff.
There is a non-zero chance this team goes undefeated. Biggest pitfall is probably PHI, but another sneaky possibility is that the team may have to make a decision in week 18 or even 17 if they are undefeated and have the #1 seed locked up.
Any team can lose. But only thing I'm fearful of is injuries and the refs. Chiefs are tough when playing them and the nfl. Hopefully the underdog story of purdy will be enough to get the refs to play fair.

If home field is locked up, why risk stars?

Besides completing a perfect season I can't think of many other reasons. However, I believe there is some loose evidence that teams which rest their players the last week of the season can come out slow two weeks later in the divisional round.

SB first. But going undefeated and not having to watch those annoying old Dolphin haters pop champagne when the last undefeated team loses is pretty annoying.

What conspiracy? It's pretty hard to deny when some teams get a large number of favorable calls or non-calls, especially in key moments. Lane Johnson has basically been living offsides since last season. And the odds of a hold being called on a Chief's o-lineman during a Mahommes comeback are about 0.0000001%.

100% Agree. They let Mahomes RT get a head start on pass protection 😆
And the 4th and 15 desperation pass that they give Pass INT call.

Been listening to football podcasts for reaction on the niners. The talking heads are absolutely gushing about the niners. You're hearing terms like "perfect team", "super team", "pro bowl squad", and "juggernaut" being thrown around. And to be honest I agree!

I agree. For once, Kyle's intentions aren't obstructed by his QB and the results are scary.

Huge credit goes to our scouts for maintaining our momentum through a series of low-leverage drafts.

And then there's the D: you don't lose this many defensive coordinators and maintain this level of play-- I think Fred Warner is a big part of this. Now that the first part of his playing career is behind him, I hope we start developing him toward coaching during the second half of his playing career. He's the beating heart of this defense and a guy you want to keep inside the building.

All of this points to a culture within the building that reinforces excellence. Back in the old days, we called this the Forty Niners Way. It's nice to have that back again. Better still, it's thrilling to know what its capable of accomplishing.

We're probably going to lose Brian Griese to a HC job in the far future, and for sure Anthony Lynn this offseason. I hope Kyle can get Steve Young to coach our QB's when that happens and maybe get Frank Gore to be assistant position coach for Kyle too, if Anthony Lynn goes. The way this team is succeeding this year - and the way McDaniel is killing it in Miami, Kyle's assistant coaches will be targeted big time this offseason.

Griese not ready.. not for a HC job.. offers as OC will be a plenty but I doubt as a HC..

For now, but Slowik already is a OC, and only one step away from a HC position - depending on how Demeco's organization does.

Looking for Frank and Steve to be on Kyle's offensive coaching team sometime in the future, as we continue to lose coaching talent. There are some good college coaches too, that Kyle might tap into. He'll probably leave it to Papa Shanahan to help him out on that in the offseason.
