Some say Garcia and Alex brought a taste of that but I assure you it did not. Same goes for Jimmy, although I know many loved the guy.

This is the first time it feels like it did all those years ago. Offense is a blast to watch. I expect a score. I expect a win. Now maybe we can get a couple SB wins out of this and get current again. The other five a little dusty.

I gotta agree with everything here 💯

This is a bit off-topic, but since we are looking at versions of this song I thought some of you might enjoy this funny version from English soccer:

I want this to be Levi's "Sweet Caroline", sung by the whole stadium in the 4th quarter when victory is assured.
yes we do, lets not jinx it.

Except Orllovsky hating on Purdy! That fool said if Mac Jones was with the Niners he would be doing the same thing. SMH

I highly doubt he would be.

No person who didn't have a click agenda, who actually watches the game would buy this. We have SEEN other QBs run the KS offense and not have the success Brock has. We also know mentally is the biggest hurdle in being a QB here and processing everything quickly, Mac Jones would be atrocious. Just an inflammatory line he could say that is easy to capture in a headline/tweet (X whatever) and get his clicks.

i get what he meant he was more defending Mac saying his situation isawful no weapons and no OL and would do well here

He has said in past (like last week) he is playing MVP level football so i don't think he was really attacking Purdy

Lmao that would be great.

But no team song beats the 1980s Rams' "Ram it."

An absolute gem, filled with gem lines.

"I learned long ago if you ram it just right you can ram it all day and you can ram it all night."

"I come from the end, looking for the sack, I don't stop cumming till I put ''em on their back."

I mean it even drops the innuendo:
"The ladies agree, before they know it they're ramming with me."

also

"I don't want dick running over me."

And much more. Only for $19.95. Some exclusions apply.

This is in the running for one of the most asinine things Dan Orlovsky has ever said.

9erson3, right there with you man, born in 72 here, so recall the glory years.
But like you said, that assurance that we'll score and put points up is back. Very reminiscent of the Joe cool vibe.
Harbaugh's teams was so dependent on getting to 20 and letting defense close it out. It's nice to be sound on both sides 😌! Let's keep it going, one game at a time. Go 9ers!
A top 5 D and a top 5 O at the same time? This is incredible!

Kudos to Kyle and John failing fast and not succumbing to the sunk cost fallacy when it came to Trey Lance. When a Black Swan falls in your lap, the conventional rules go out of the window. It's same reason Belichick benched Drew Bledsoe. When you have a guy, you need to just put all the chips on the table.

And when things go bad we blame the people at the top, so it's time to give Jed his flowers. When he blew this team up in 2016 and started from scratch and stepped into the background, that's when it all turned around.

I'm older than either of you and go back to Tittle and McElhenny. I had season tickets during the entire era of Montana and Young. The fans and the team felt like they were going to win every game. When we didn't it was a shock. You're right about this team having a lot of the same vibes around it. They can score with anyone and the defense usually is able to keep the other team from doing a lot.

One thng we have to keep in mind. Those great teams in the 80s didn't win every year. They had their set backs just like every great team. The players on this team are hungry enough to keep it going because they haven't been able to get that Lombardi trophy yet. I know Kyle and John and Jed want that as much or more than the players. This team can do it as long as they don't have a string of major injuries that set them back.

I don't care about being the odds favorite in October, doesn't mean a damn thing, seeing the 49ers hoist a trophy in Las Vegas in February is all the matters

I agree. For once, Kyle's intentions aren't obstructed by his QB and the results are scary.

Huge credit goes to our scouts for maintaining our momentum through a series of low-leverage drafts.

And then there's the D: you don't lose this many defensive coordinators and maintain this level of play-- I think Fred Warner is a big part of this. Now that the first part of his playing career is behind him, I hope we start developing him toward coaching during the second half of his playing career. He's the beating heart of this defense and a guy you want to keep inside the building.

All of this points to a culture within the building that reinforces excellence. Back in the old days, we called this the Forty Niners Way. It's nice to have that back again. Better still, it's thrilling to know what its capable of accomplishing.

We're probably going to lose Brian Griese to a HC job in the far future, and for sure Anthony Lynn this offseason. I hope Kyle can get Steve Young to coach our QB's when that happens and maybe get Frank Gore to be assistant position coach for Kyle too, if Anthony Lynn goes. The way this team is succeeding this year - and the way McDaniel is killing it in Miami, Kyle's assistant coaches will be targeted big time this offseason.

No different than any other off season.
