49ERS at BROWNS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 6

I mean a trap game is usually something that comes before a bigger matchup the following week. So if we were playing say the eagles next week, looking ahead, ok.

We play vikes next so I don't see the trap. Not saying it isn't a tough game but I think we'll be focused

Trap games can also come after beating a team with a good record ( cowboys ).

With that being said, I don't see It as a trap game. Aslong as the team stays focused, we're capable of beating anyone.
The Brown's D will help keep it close for 2.5 quarters but will eventually wear down due to their O's inability to maintain drives. The Niners pull away and cruise 30-10.
This could be a Redskins in the Rain redux, but instead of 9-0, maybe 16-0

That's what I'm expecting to happen too. I see the 9ers has having too much talent on offense for the game to stay close for 4 quarters of football.
People call every single game other than the 1st and the two or three biggest perceived matchups a "trap" game
This morning I heard the Browns announcer say that they're going to start a rookie QB. His name is PJ Walker from Temple U. He's not a rookie but he's never started a game.

This isn't a trap game. The Browns have the best defense in the league, and the best pass defense by a huge margin. Now their offense in mostly garbage, but this isn't like playing the Giants or Patriots. If they figure out their offense a bit I could see them winning the AFC North.

My god, from -4.5 to -5.5 to jumping up a whole two points at -7.5!!! Lemme guess Watson and Garrett aren't playing making the money jump all in the 9ers side??

Everything I've read if Deshaun Watson can't go is PJ Walker will start.

PJ Walker started half a dozen games for Carolina last year. He's been in the league for four or five years.
They just said on the radio that Joel Bitonio also isn't playing on Sunday

Browns are limping into this game despite coming off their bye week. oof.
In the NFL, PJ Walker is probably best remembered for this throw last year:
