49ERS at BROWNS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 6

After a long time, looking forward to a 49ers game without any concerns about "QB play".
This is regardless of trap games and all that.

He did go back to Texas for PT during the bye week. Who knows? Old habits die hard.

They surely do.

Man I loved Watson coming out of college and really raelly really wanted us to draft him.. I don't care for him at all anymore and if he has any more of that rape stuff come up I don't want him to ever play anothe snap in the league. Playing in the NFL and making all that money is a privilege. I'm not a browns fan but I'll do my part in making sure they get nothing but bad press if they do - I hope his teammates say something too.

I don't think he is injured, I think another incident has come up. I have no proof but something weird is going on. there is something awful about his situation and i hope it isn't another victim.

Interesting take. If that's the case, the rest of the team knows and it affected team play against the Ravens before the Browns headed into the bye week. BUT (there is always a BUT), if this was the case AND the team knew, it surely would have leaked out by now. Someone would have spilled the beans.

OR, it could be that Watson really is a head case now. He doesn't like the head coach. He doesn't like the offense. So, he's not going to play until he gets the guy he wants.

Never thought Watson fits in what Stefanski runs, play action, turning your back on the d and rereading the field and being under center. Dude was used to being in shotgun in a spread
It's probably neither here or there but from what I understand Watson is medically cleared to practice/play and there's no structural damage reported in the shoulder so it seems like something fishy is going on. As of now he's not expected to start this game which we basically knew. Must be something weird happening with him and the Browns internally or maybe they're "crapping out" for Caleb.

I'm sure Houston still has their pick and it's almost near impossible to move on from Watson and that contract. And even if they wanted to be bad no way they wouldn't be worse than Chicago and Denver with that defense they have

His contract is fully guaranteed so he can basically do whatever. Maybe there is a stipulation for insubordination but assuming he could fight it and say look I don't feel right, can't play
This will be a good test to see how the team handles a matchup with a lesser opponent after an emotional win. Yeah we blew the cowboys out…but still you could tell our guys poured a lot into that matchup. Can they keep up the energy against a less than stellar browns team?

So line started at -4.5 next two days it jumps to -5.5 then on Wednesday it -7.5. And now today I saw on NFLN its at -9.5. And I heard on the Colin Cowherd show that 94% of the money is on the 9ers.

Dear god please tell the Gambino family to leave this game alone.

Amen

Giving a bad character guy a fully guaranteed contract seems like a real genius idea huh😂
Another fine stat I came across.

the 49ers have trailed for just 1 minute and 45 seconds all season. That's the top mark through a team's first five games since 2009

Just another aspect of their game they can improve on. You know... to keep them hungry.
