49ERS at BROWNS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 6

Avoid turnovers and it's a W. This will be a challenge, too, but luckily our guys are battle tested, they know the drill. I wanna see more of Mason. Dude flashed last Sunday, he's out there running like Beast Mode light
Gonna be some Buckeye on Buckeye crime.

Baker Mayfield is playing better than Watson, they should have just hung on to him. They can never get rid of Watson and that fully guaranteed contract! He can just say I don't feel like playing this week.

They're going to hurt for years because they'll restructure his contract. He's due $63M in cap hits for the next three seasons (after this one) and theyve already restructured it once - so they owe him $9M the year after his contract expires already.

this contract will haunt them for years. Deservedly so, can't believe they handed him this in the situation he was in. Just ridiculous.

I've always liked Baker
I've never been much of a baker fan and I think they realized he is a high end game manager on his best days but moving off him for this QB wasn't a great idea. Not given the circumstances.

baker is doing a good job revitalizing his career in tampa bay though, good for him. He will probably get a massive pay day this off season if he can sustain it.

Bucs will be one of those teams that has a hot start but ends up with a .500 record or so, IMO. Idk their schedule but they aren't good against good teams - that's where baker struggles.

nice spotlight matchup Phoenix,
I remember being intrigued by Jones in the draft season, 6'8 375, Nick can use that size against him
will be fun to watch

I'm in a desperate spot in fantasy football with my RBs. Would you guys play Jerome Ford (Browns starter) hoping he gets a random TD or do we feel good enough about our advantage that I should play Jordan Mason for some garbage time points?

You have no problem with playing Ford and hoping he scores against the 49ers?
The Browns gae up 26 points to the Steelers who have a bad offense and 28 to the Ravens. They lost both games. They beat the Bengals in the opener who have struggled offensively until last week. Then they beat the Titans who are 2-3. How can this team have number one ranked defense in the league? They've [layed only 4 games that's how.

Niners will bump them down to middle of the pack after the beatdown they put on them

So line started at -4.5 next two days it jumps to -5.5 then on Wednesday it -7.5. And now today I saw on NFLN its at -9.5. And I heard on the Colin Cowherd show that 94% of the money is on the 9ers.

Dear god please tell the Gambino family to leave this game alone.

Amen

LMAO I love it when another poster knows about Cosa Nostra. I'm a big organized crime nerd and have read up on all the history. I don't think it's cool to rob people but I find it fascinating how a bunch of hoodlums took over portions of the country for nearly 100 years and how much of an impact they have on American history that most people don't realize.

the reason milk has expiration dates is cause of Al Capone. Lol

How so? Love history but haven't heard that one. I know wrong forum but inquiring minds need to know
Sorry if not posted but per ESPN: Through five games this team is the greatest starting 49ers team ever, including the dynastic teams. We are now the 7th greatest team ever through 5 games. Incredible.😳😳😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can we start the playoffs right now?
Sounds like also out for the Browns will be All-Pro LG Joel Bitonio, and TE David Njoku.

This team has really been impressive on offense since CMC and Brock have been starting. Far an away the best since the salary cap and free agency began.
I won't compare them to teams prior to that because the rules were different and teams didn't pass as much so scoring was often lower. One thing that has really changed the game in the pass friendly era is the ability to march down the field so quickly at the end of the half or end of the game. It makes fora lot of exciting games for the winner and a lot of frustration for the loser.
