I feel like the narrative of 'trap games' and overconfidence just doesn't apply to this group either although people and pundits will likely bring it up all season. 'Peaking too early' etc. They are on a mission after last year and I don't think they take anything for granted which is why Warner starts all their pre-game huddles with 'Let's go 1-0.'
To paraphrase the golden god Dennis Reynolds- this team hasn't even begun to peak. And when they do peak, you'll know.Because they're gonna peak so hard that everybody in Philadelphia's gonna feel it.

Yeah, most people don't watch the 49ers every week - they only see the prime time games - specifically the analysts and other couches. I think Brock played him self into the pro bowl voting because of the Dallas game. A lot of our guys did.

It's not luck so much as math. Law of averages dictates that this team is overdue for a healthy season.
On a serious note, a major factor in the teams injury problems stems directly from the team's core philosophy. They are the most physical team in the league, by a wide margin, so in addition to dishing out punishment to other teams, they also take on a lot themselves.
If the field conditions are hella saturated, I bet we can feed our ultralight walk-on-water type Bell and give him a big day, potentially. Probably won't ever come down to that though.
My biggest fear now is that just like with new coaches, with new QBs teams play out of their norm.
I never place a bet against a team with a new coach mid season, it's like 70/30 the new coach wins. But a new QB is 50/50, they have a starting guard out now too which made me place the browns on the losing end in my pick em league. But new QBs and new coaches mid season scare the F outta me.

Patience is bitter. But it's fruit is sweet. The sweetness is coming.
But first, I have a feeling there will be a few speed bumps along the way. This team hasn't dealt with any major injuries yet. In fact, it's been remarkably injury free, which is a great sign. However, I doubt this will continue. We are going to lose somebody important along the way.
