how is he a gametime decision and almost played last week to being out already?

They don't want him to play SF and I don't blame them. It is much smarter for their long-term strategy if they take an excuse to sit Watson and risk an L they will likely get anyway then throw him to the wolves.

Yeah if I was the Browns I would just sit him another week. Let the backup handle going against Bosa, Hargrave and the rest.

Trap game. Playing a good defense on the road, coming off a high on the national stage.

Every game this year someone has declared a "trap game"

that phrase has jumped the shark.

Yes, not based on facts, just a feel on how high the 9er got for the Cowboys game and they're bound to be a let down. Not to say they'll lose. Calling people out has also "jumped the shark."

you can't reverse uno card "jumped the shark"
against the rules.

anyways, at some point this year the Niners will lose in an unexplainable fashion to a ridiculous team. I wouldn't call that a trap game though.

Just putting this out there now:

Many teams have beaten the Vikings in Minneapolis.

The Niners have not in quite a long time, and haven't covered the spread there since the early to mid '90s....

Would be nice to change that for a time, but let's say no knock out pick for SF that week, LOL.

Also, we traditionally have struggled against weak Falcon teams......we lost 2019 and 2022.......did beat them in 2021, but damn man, LOL.
we wont face justin jefferson

Yep, going on IR with the hamstring injury.

I don't believe they think that way. You're paying this guy oodles of money. The opponent shouldn't matter. The situation shouldn't matter. They're in playoff contention. Upsets always happen (not saying it will happen against us). If you're healthy, you play.

I'll be in attendance

that is badass in the dawg pound
represent us well

Not in the Dawg Pound this time, sitting on the 40. Did that last time and they were nice as all hell to us. We did witness several fights between Browns fans though

Will be loud and proud! Hoping for a strong turnout so we can turn into "Levi's Midwest".

I'll be there, but in the nose bleeds. I am bringing my sons (10 and 8) and my father. We are hoping to get in when they open the gates and try to get some autographs or at least fist bumps.
Personally, I am an any given Sunday kind of guy. You just never know when a team is going to decide to show up and play, or why. But the 49ers seem to be on a mission this year. I think those blocks by Aiyuk and McCloud on McCaffrey's long TD run in one of their first games, have set the tone for the whole season. The team feels like it's really locked in and won't be overlooking anyone this year. As long as Brock stays healthy they should be favored in every game they play. As far as I can see, the only real test left on their schedule are the Eagles. I imagine that will be a tough game, a lot of motivation on both sides to come out on top. Go Niners!
Looks like Watson is truly questionable

I'll say it again, that field worries the s**t outa me. Jefferson and Kelce suffered not-contact injuries in the same game.

Oh, and I would include the Rams as another tough game. LA played a lot better than I expected in their first go round. It seems like Nacua gives them another player like Kupp, someone the team just doesn't seem to have an answer for. If both of those guys are playing, and Stafford decides to show up that could be a long afternoon.
