Nothing like clinging to the past saying they are better cause of a group accomplishment. Trent Williams is the greatest Tackle to ever lace up cleats that's what other offensive linemen say about him. Ring or not

Recognizing the accomplishments of past Super Bowl winners is "clinging to the past" in your book, I take it. So be it. If you can't recognize the greatness of former 49ers because you were too busy burping up pear-flavored baby food, there's not much I can say about that.

The only thing that counts is hardware. Not stats. Hardware. Rings on the finger(s). What's next? Brock Purdy is better than Joe Montana?

Warner definitely is better for 2023 NFL, but Willis was better for the Nolan/Singletary/Harbaugh era.

Yep. Warner likely could not play MLB prior to 2015 with the power run teams, likely plays OLB or safety.
Willis likely struggles in this passing generation, relegating him to base formation and maybe some nickel.

Love me some Warner, but no way am I putting him over Willis. Willis was a perennial all pro player while playing on otherwise bad defenses the first half of his career. Same thing with Gore and Staley; they were great players playing with mostly trash around them til the Harbaugh years.
