On the last drive he made one tough throw to the outside..and then another nice accurate pass. Pressure was there and he handled it. I think this was just part of his rookie growing pains. So let's see how he bounces back. Should be fine!

He's not a rookie.

Yeah you know what I mean... he has like 14 starts right? Lucky enough to have some damn good experience (playoff) compared to other rookies....

But in those games he's never really played from behind.. or atleast in the second half. Is fortunate enough to have the best offensive weapons during that time. Finally had to deal with adversity (his own play + missing weapons vs elite defense)... this is what I wanted to see this year, without hoping for injuries. Glad he got to experience this now early in the season. And how he bounces back. Next time it probably won't be vs a 3rd String Qb.

Definitely an overall team loss. Just about everyone contributed mightily.

Agree. Was just crazy watching the game & knowing that the longer we let them hang around & we kept making mistakes that it was going to be a game. Learn from our lessons & move on to the next week! Great breakdown as always!
It took ALOT of crap to go wrong to lead to a loss.

A monumental amount of junk....

I love Shanny....I do.....

but this is on Shanny..... When you have guys this out of sync, that has to be on the coaching staff. Then you have playing calling oddities on top of it.

Team got rocked, Shanny did not steady the ship, then poured gas on the fire with play calling.

We have all seen people get "shook" before.... being boxing, tennis ...whatever....they mentally fold. I think at least to a degree that happened to Shanny.

Every coach in the NFL, including Shanny knows he needs to keep the clock ticking to protect his lead late in a game.... Shanny beat himself there at the end....and that was just one of the 20 ways they lost the game. Sure a player could have made one play here or one play there to save the game...that is football... but to me the play calling was suspect, and the team was not ready to play...that is on Shanny....

Still love the dude....glad he is the coach.... hope we keep him for the next decade....but I also hope he learns from this.
Having just watched the video, I don't know if I feel better or worse. Watching it live, I had the sense we were making it worse for ourselves than it should have been but just couldn't point to anything in particular. Now, after watching JD do his usual good stuff, I can see why I didn't see any one thing - there were multiple things going wrong with multiple players. You just don't see guys like Trent and Kittle making rookie mistakes...and that is just for starters.

In the end, I guess I feel better because there were big plays there but unusual mistakes killed them.

Thanks again Jonny for your breakdown. On to Minne.

No joke, I once worked at a boatyard and we all had Tyvek suits that we wore every day. Well, my boss was a cheapskate who only bought 3XL even though half the crew was 5'8"(my height).

Well, one of our guys found out that he could go over to where they hung up and pull the hood up, hang it on the rack and stand there and you couldn't see him at all except his shoes. Sometimes he'd go over there and stand for 2 hours to avoid work and no one would know, LOL.

Because Jonny does great game analysis and we just might learn something lol.

J-Bone DOES great game analysis

Of all of the unpacking, my #1 priority is, Why J-Bone? Is his middle name Brian?
J-Del, Dell, CPU, hell PeeWee(porky's Revenge reference) would even work.

in addition to Jonny's breakdown, baldy!

I like how Brock bounced back and put us in a position to win at the end.

Yes... it would have felt soooo good if we got that win. Like "*whew* that was close but we did it... let's not take this ride for granted!" lol

At least we don't have to think about some perfect season anymore.... don't have to think about that going into important games for playoff seeding, like vs the Eagles.

Typically stupid and narrow take. Yes, the field goal is the easy thing to point to, just like Jimmy's missed throw to Sanders. But the 160 rushing yards the defense gave up was certainly a contributing factor as were many of the plays that Jonny highlighted in his excellent breakdown. Though it may seem like it to some, one play rarely determines the outcome of game. It is usually an accumulation of things that lead to that one play and end up giving it an outsized place in the game's overall narrative.
