SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS - 2023 Season Game 7

Number one reason why we lost tonight is defensive line. I'm not sure we even touched Cousins. This is inexcusable! Where is Armstead? Entire unit was missing in action. No pressure? Cousins carved us up and ate us for dinner. We were flat all week. Didn't want this game bad enough.

We also need a third receiver. Deebo goes down and we have nothing!

Grrrrrr. Frustrating loss.

Doesn't seem like we could get to a SB with a Moody kicker and Wilks scheming like this

But if we can sweep the division again and find a way to beat eagles in their house, I'll be stoked for the season

They looked this bad against KC last year. Far worse by score, even.

Score was 13-14 at the half, pretty decent vs Mahomes imo. 2nd half shootout, our offense couldn't keep up.

Every team in the NFL has talent. The fact that the other team outplays the Niners is probably because their talent is better.
After all, it can't be the coaching/scheming … our play caller is a genius.

Yeah I agree there. But the secondary was atrocious. It's not like Kirk had all day to throw the ball, he was just getting rid of the ball quickly because a bunch of nobodies and a rookie WR were getting wide ass open.

Bottom line was whenever the Vikes were in a 3rd and 8 situation on offense....it seemed like they had us right where they wanted us. That's just not right. I don't know if it's Wilks and his scheme, the lack of a pass rush or the lack of energy/hype. Probably all of it. Wilks ain't the fiery personality type either up in the booth, whereas Saleh and Ryans were jacked up on the sidelines, pumping the dudes up.

A lot of b******t PI in the 4th quarter. The vikings push off on us, then we get called for contact. They run into us with double moves, and we get called. They pick us, and there is no call. We look like noobs. Amazing Cousins was 2-13 on 3rd down last week.

It should have been academic, because we should have been sacking Cousins. We couldn't get push with our molasses slow rush. Totally pwned. Our 50m super star has 2 sacks in 7 games. Get to the QB mumbles! Just play Armstead at zero tech for the rest of the year.

My #1 concern is our defense. Not one sack. Did we even hit him? When it looked like we were gonna get him, he found a receiver downfield. He had a 70% 3rd down conversion rate. Their TOP was higher. We are playing some good QBs in our next 5 games. CIN next week is starting to get their stuff together and JAX (after the bye in JAX) is a playoff team as of now. Potential 2 more losses if Wilks can't get this defense on track. This is totally inexcusable all the money this DL is making and is not showing it's worth.

Lynch needs to trade for a CB asap. Our kicking game is the last of my worries right now.
