Even during our 5-0 start, they were unbearably hyping us up just to tear us down once we started hitting a rough patch. The only thing that is relevant is what happens on gameday, the games aren't played to appease these grifters that are only in it to spark emotion and thus engagement.

We can talk Xs and Os and vent here, that is all good but paying too much attention to modern sports media isn't healthy. Who cares who Shannon Sharpe thinks is a top 10 QB or not, that is irrelevant. Just watch the games, discuss the results with fellow fans afterward and live your life. Dont feed the media/social media toxicity.
good advice, no matter what day it is
It's fun. I watch as it's a little addicting and good for a laugh or two. I taped all the major players on my DVR today, First Take, Good Morning Football, The Greeny Show, and I think another. You just have to watch the first ten minutes and it is the headline story.

I really don't take it seriously but enjoy the BS. Just like I'm not ready to bench Purdy or Fire Moody (like some fans) What's the difference between fans thinking like this and a hot take show? One and the same.

I had it on the background and had to turn it down at work.

I like this reminder. I really didn't pay too much attention to media or pundits before. So why am I now? I sure as hell didn't pay attention to Shannon f-g Sharpe, now all of a sudden I caught myself listening to his garbage lol. Like, that's exactly what they want you to do. Derp, I know this.

I think I can get defensive over Purdy..because, he is a special qb. We haven't been this spoiled since the 90s. It's crazy that this guy takes over and helps lead us to the NFC Champ Game like he's done it 10 times before. Those who all of a sudden say he's not all that..well, they are doing that for cheap, emotional dumb media reactions or they simply have not watched enough football. Was Brady ever off in a game? Ever had two losses in a row? I mean..we have been so spoiled..I think some expect nothing less than almost perfection from this guy..cause that is pretty much what we have gotten so far. But that winning streak ride was going to end at some point..ppl do realize this, no?

We have excellent players across the board, we have seen what they can do under better circumstances meaning.. with Ryans, a veteran kicker helps..etc. We were clicking on all cylinders last season. So much of this starts at the top..and it's frustrating to see Wilks, Wilking I guess lol and Kyle gets a bit jittery when pressure hits. He has got to be able to adjust, adapt and react better in crisis situations at times. If the coaching is off, it's going to trickle down to the players, no matter how excellent they are.

Not to say players have not made mistakes the past couple of games, they have but so much of this starts at the top. There just needs to be some adjustments and they can be made.

The media is pretty much complete garbage though..better to just detach and enjoy the game of football:). Hey, at least we aren't Carolina fans. Lol
Steven A, Steven Ruiz and Shannon Sharpe are must avoid. What a cesspool.

i like Max Kellerman. he's the best of all the hot takers.

Throw in Nick Wright, dude is insufferable when it comes to Purdy. Talks about him as if he's a finished product 3/4 the way into his first full seasons worth of games.

Been that way for me for quite some time.

He's unbelievably bad. Just horrible. I hate that guy so much. But nobody more than Ruiz. What a PUNK.

Yup Shannon sharpe for example doesn't even watch film and he's supposed to be an "expert". Watch baldy and other ex players that analyze film and johnnydel too
I would also like to add that somewhere along the way in recent years, the national media caught on to 2 things:

1. The Niner fanbase is huge, like Dallas level huge so the Niners have become a front and center topic even when we are not good

2. The character of this fanbase is we love to be at each other's throats over the QB position. So to increase engagement, the hot takers fan the flames by making wildly polarizing statements about each of our recent starters. Started with Jimmy G with Steven A's "pornstar jimmy" schtick, then on to the whole Mac Jones draft saga, then half the pundits completely crapping on Trey to the point of attacking his character baselessly while the other half crowned him as the next Mahomes, and now this idiotic national conversation surrounding Brock. There are QB situations and controversies all over the league yet our team gets covered in such a way.

The media is part of the problem. We need to stay cool with eachother as niners fans despite our differences in opinion. It starts with me, I love you all fam ❤️
