Fire him now. We Are a joke.

And replace him with who? It's not like we have another DeMeco Ryans on the staff as a back-up option.
Is Joan from accounting still around?
Tim Ryan is on KNBR right now and he's talking about the advantages of having the DC on the sidelines. He feels that being able to talk to the players about what's going on and getting direct feedback really helps and makes it easier for them to make adjustments.

Well, when your defense coordinator is in the booth because he said allows him to separate himself from some of the emotion on the field, its going to explain some things.

Playing and coaching defense is all about emotion. The entire concept boils down to, "If you want to score any points, you're going to have to go thru me".

You can't be soft, and that's exactly what we've been under Wilks, soft.

didnt read article but isnt that part of the fun
If we keep Steve Wilks, the season is lost.

I can't see this dumpster fire of a defense improving.

Romo calling out our bad defensive formations live on air was embarrassing.
Ask Daniel Bullocks if he wants to coach from the sideline now!

I've said this many times since halftime yesterday, but it can't be stated enough:

THAT was the final straw for me. When a color commentator up in the booth is able to predict exactly what the opposing offense is going to successfully do on a fairly consistent basis, your defense has zero efficient disguise.

This happened to the Chiefs in the 2018 AFC Championship. Romo was able to predict virtually every single Patriots play before it happened. Chiefs lost in OT, and the next day they fired their DC. Oh, and the following season they won the Super Bowl against us.

He took a top 3 defense and turned it into a bottom 5 defense. Honestly I have a hard time naming 5 teams that have a worse defense than our's currently.

Indy, Chi, GB, and..................................................maybe NE

As an OC was Shanahan ever in the booth?? Get Wilks outta the booth and make him earn his money, he thinks he's playing Madden.

If they don't fire Wilks or take control from him the season is lost. When Tony Romo is recognizing your 3rd down defense 5 seconds before the ball is snapped and saying where the ball is going to go, other teams are doing the same.

Wilks goes or the season is a waste.
the proof is in the pudding

after 3 games and still no improvement, pretty safe to conclude that it's check mate for our defense, and it will not change unless Wilks somehow makes a big fundamental change to his scheme, or he gets canned, which I feel like neither will happen, so it's basically a lost season.

Lynch will announce a deadline signing today to take the heat off the D and move convo in another direction. Wait for it.. The man looking for a distraction.
A one and three for PS II should do it.
