I am personally most concerned about the string of injuries to key players, Banks being the latest. The bye week has come at a good time.

the d has been consistently underwhelming. you can't poo poo that. Unless we've been two+ scores ahead we consistently let other teams back in the game with long drives moving the ball up the field exactly same consistent way every time. We have no answers to inside run and timing come back passes that exploit our soft zone. Not sure whats going on but the results have been pretty consistent, even when we were winning.

just to elaborate on this, did you see the philly miami game on tv? That's what a dominant d looks like. smash mouth bullying on the line. jalen carter pancaking left guard multiple times. Reddick blowing up screens, reaching the midget. Ultimately, it was the best way to keep a lid on Hill & Company. Philly looked brutal. We don't look like that. We need to win more 1v1's between the guards and leverage the double teams Bosa will draw. it's not just that we are not getting the sack, we are not really collapsing the pocket consistently either. the qb isnt moving feet enough to throw them off.
I didn't go as far as writing off a wild card spot just the SB lol. And yeah, the injuries are concerning and hope all get healthy soon. I really didn't like BP's head hitting the ground like that after the concussion. He shouldn't have played Mon..Sam would have been fine..then spend time healing players on the bye. My opinion is that they are pushing BP ultra hard..which is ok but feel like they may expect too much..maybe cause of the high bar he puts on himself and the insanely great performances we have seen. Sometimes exemplary performers of any kind..can kinda get taken advantage of..not saying that is the case though. But maybe it's possible idk. Hopefully, changes can be made with the team/coaches and have things turn around. Just needs balance and yeah, less injuries would be nice

I think Brock was the one who insisted on playing fearing losing his spot to Darnold.

The problem is that the defense is mostly healthy and yet hasn't been able to stop anyone other than Dak Prescott. There doesn't seem to be an easy fix for that. The offense might turn things around as they get healthier and/or Purdy stops turning the ball over.

lolwut? Brock seems the type of guy who takes full advantage of his opportunities. See his comeback from UCL injury.

There is talk about us going after CB from DA Bears. That would get rid of Oliver but the Bosa holdout effect is still not remedied. This D was called out by Romo having a wide open middle with 3 and 18. Burrow ran it up the middle for 23 yards. Most coaches seeing that would have called a timeout. These are the problems with Wilks that cannot be simply fixed. Next year we need DBs and Oline or this is just rinse and repeat until our Superbowl window closes. Oh yeah fire Wilks too.

The line of scrimmage is broken.

We're getting pushed around on both sides of the line of scrimmage in both the run and the pass game. We'll lose every game until that's fixed. Can't belive that after all these years of building a d line and establishing a running game tough mentality this is how we're losing. Getting punked by mediocre teams smh.

Yup games are lost and won in the trenches and we are losing on both sides. Combine that with Wilks scheme putting our LBs and Dbs out of position and a kicker with no confidence and that would summarize why this team is slumping

we only have one d. rush 4, then soft zone the lb's 8 yards from scrimmage. Everyone gets it and is now picking apart the game plan with timing throws and come backs.

It's ridiculous.

It's like Gabe Kapler is running the defense.

Except there will be no welcome back for wilks

Nah... he would put Crawford to cover the slot not Oliver.
There is hope. The team wins during the bye!......Seachooks loss puts us back on top again.
