49ERS at JAGUARS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 10

Ugh, can't even think about this game or this team for another week at least.
If ever there was a must win, this game is it.

Everything starts and ends with our running game, and it has been absent the last 3 weeks. How much of that is due to TW not playing is up in the air, but the run game is currently trash. The fact that we can't convert on 3rd or 4th and short is embarrassing.

5 - 4. We are extremely capable of losing this. It's even very likely. Jags at Jags against a good team. Very little chance guys.

The 49ers and Rams each have a league-high 4 games against teams coming off of bye weeks.

No other team has more than 2.

ARI, BAL, CHI, CLE, IND, JAX, MIA, NE, NYJ, PIT, &TEN have zero.

I honestly don't know how you make our schedule the way they did without it being completely intentional.

-Face a league high 4 teams coming off bye

-Make us face a team coming off a bye after we play a MNF game

-Our opponent after our bye is also coming off a bye, so we get zero advantage from our bye week.

-Make our team play two Thursday night games

-Make our team play on both Thanksgiving and Christmas, making our players get not even ONE of those days to spend with their families.

-Road game on New Years Eve, again making guys unable to spend time with their families locally.

I believe I heard that we play Seattle with them playing a Thursday night game the previous week.

Wilks preparing for the Jags

Just heard the Jags are setting records for number of games played without going over 400 offensive yards.

Steve Wilks says come on down! Just like Oprah he's giving away everything and improving the fortunes of any offense playing against him.

Really hoping for the opposite. Reverse curse!

I think the run game is missing McGlinchey. He was a good run blocker.
