This looks like another game that's gonna come down to Purdy not making any big mistakes in crunch time. The Jags have not been scoring a lot of points, but their strength is run D and making teams one-dimensional. If we can run on them, we win. If we can't, it comes down to Purdy playing mistake free, because our defense will likely still give up a ton of points on the road.
Trent Williams coming back will help the run game. Need Deebo back to be that x factor that makes something out of nothing. Good luck with the 49er run defense - I don't know how that gets better over the bye week.
So glad Deebo is coming back after the bye!

Jaguars game plan will be simple.
Run shotgun 3 or 4 wide. Get our linebackers isolated on receivers or get Oliver matched up on Kirk in the slot. Pound us in the soft middle with Etienne. Dominate.
If we can't stop the run in this game, we're in huge trouble.

This is going to be a really tough game, especially with it being in Jacksonville. Jaguars are playing good ball right now.

Would promoting TY McGill help the run defense? He isn't awesome but I don't remember him ever getting pancaked or rag dolled. It would also keep Hargrave a bit fresher for the 4th quarter. Maybe McGill over Kinlaw or Givens. Chase Young helps run defense but more help could be needed.
Enough is enough we can't lose to the London Jags

Can't wait for Ezra Cleveland to look like a HOFer against our DL and for Kyle to look all shocked Pikachu face like "wow what a great player! I wonder where they got him! If only we had an offensive lineman like that!

Just stop the damn run please. No dominant defense out there has problems stopping the run. Also time to bench Oliver, he's gonna get smoked by the trio Ridley, Kirk and Godwin.

The defense hasn't helped but if Brock is going to take that next step and become an elite QB he has to be able to make big plays in crunch time. Not just when they're leading and everything is going smoothly. Driving down the field to get into FG range is relatively easy in the NFL these days with the rues that make it easier for the passing game. Four or five short completions and you're in FG range. Getting into the end zone is entirely different. The defense tightens up the closer you get. There's a reason Kyle is 0-37 when trailing by 8 or more in the 4th. I suspect most treams are on the short end of that stat. Maybe not that bad but the chances of winning go way down when trailing in the 4th by 2 scores or more. It takes a true elite QB and a big team effort to come back in those situations.

Id be surprised if anyone outside of KC has more than 5 wins in that same time period. Most teams probably have 1-3.
