If the 49ers defense became the defense we all saw vs Dallas, I could give two s**ts if Purdy became a dink-n-dunker the rest of the season. Just stop with those lame ass 4th qrt picks.

I think I saw somewhere that the average winning percentage in that situation is like .100. So obviously 0-37 is bad but 4-33 would be considered above average. I don't think 4 additional regular season wins over the course of 6.5 seasons changes the narrative much for Kyle unless one of those wins is the Super Bowl against KC (which was basically lost when they went up 11 at the last minute anyway) or the NFC Championship in Philly (which was basically lost before halftime anyway).

I've never liked bye weeks because you have to wait so long to see your team play but in this case, the bye week is so badly needed. Not only to rest our injured players, esp. Purdy but also a chance for the team to regroup, refocus and recharge.

I sort of disagree and we have seen enough of Kyle to know how he rolls. It would be cool if we could just drop back and pass more often especially in the 4th when time is ticking away but Kyle likes to run run and try the pass when the run is gaining low yards. We have a more talented QB now, yes we do and a host of guys who could get screen passes to but Kyle will continue to always go with run first when time is starting to become a small issue and sometimes a big issue. He is an old dog that is locked into ways and that is cool too as there has been success but that losing stat in the 4th quarter is a tall tale sign and I still think we need to open it up. Drop back and let him go.

I hope we can keep Trevor under 80% completion rate.

all things considered, niners losing this game will speak volumes about them having no solutions for their problems, which is why I think wilks will be fired if he doesnt get the defense back on track
