Too early for this, Burford needs time to develop, and the 49ers aren't cutting Moody after 1yr, he'll get a 2nd yr IMO.

Burford has been playing for a full 1.5 years and is rated as one of the very worst G's in football and he's regressed with more snaps...not gotten better. It's costing us now.

Sadly true about Moody. Should have gone with an UDFA like everyone else.
Well according to this guy it's going to get ugly next year during the off season....

DC, Cb, RG and probably a new kicker since I have zero trust In Moodys leg when the games on the line.
Here are my two priorities
  1. OT - Will need to use the highest draft pick to get a future LT
  2. WR - Jauan and Ray-Ray are free agents

Jauan is restricted.

This has been a major frustration for me. He continues to be inconsistent holding his blocks. I know it's only year 2 but at this point the team definitely needs to get another guy to push him. I wonder if Jesse Davis makes an appearance at some point. Of course we've got Ilm Manning too. I'd love to see Manning get exclusive reps at center.

I have been looking at OL prospects and man.. while tackles look OK in terms of depth in the '24 class, IOL is REALLY ROUGH. It's a real crapshoot there -- almost every single one needs a lot of work. Teams are gonna be banking hard on potential and whoever gets lucky essentially with the guys who realize it will be in good shape.

we signed a PK prior to the draft, and suddenly we used a 3rd on BAD MOODY RYSIN... still not sure why we couldn't just NOT sign a PK if we couldn't draft BAD MOODY RYSIN..
RG, RT, CB , Backup LT., C,

So 1.5 years, kid needs to develop more, can't call someone a bust or get rid of him after 1.5 yrs, but oh right it's this god damn fanbase that b***hes about everything. As for Moody, he'll turn it around IMO.
Personally, unless Randy Gregory balls out, we should cut him after this year. He has gotten pushed around really easy on the edge too much IMO. His $14 million is NON guaranteed so we aren't on the hook for any of that.

I still think we need to find one guy to restructure or move on from too to create some room.

After seeing us struggle without Dre healthy, and that scare against Minnesota when Fred grabbed his knee.. It's very apparent we need another top quality linebacker. Oren can't replace either of those guys.

Agreed with Gregory being cut, if he can turn it around, you redo his deal, but focus on keeping Chase.

Deebo will get his deal restructured, saves over $15.8M

Idk how we can afford another top quality LB, Dre is due for a new deal IMO, Burks is serviceable, he's done good at what he's been asked to do, but agree he's not a Al-Shaair who could come in and play like a Dre or Fred.

It sucks how little playing time Kyle gives to his younger players.

I really liked our rookie LBs from this past draft class, but we'll never know if they're capable until next season which is too late.

Same thing happened with Hufanga... everyone was freaking out we didn't acquire another safety but yet it worked out.

But what if it didn't work out... that's the issue I have with Kyle. It doesn't mean he needs to give these young guys reps in every game, but there's games where I feel like he should when we have a comfortable lead.

"This guy" is a Rams fan site who is predicting that we will be forced to have a fire sale this off season. Kind of surprised that we give any credence to him. Mind you Rams fans are experts at fire sales. That being said, I don't believe there is any justification for it here, At all.

I don't know if we can afford to keep Dre but I was more referring to us needing to draft higher quality linebacker competition. Winters and Graham will have a chance to prove they've developed next year, but we can't assume they'll be ballers.

In the draft we should shore up our back seven depth/look for upgrades, get a stocky run plugger in the middle, and then get a legit TE2, center of the future, and LT of the future.

We have the draft picks to do this. We have the money to make some worthwhile extensions.

I just hope we can pull it off.

Never take what another teams fans say seriously, or as if it's gospel, I've gone over many times how the 49ers will navigate the 2024 cap situation, we'll be just fine.
