Iupati and I can't remember the other. I was stoked and it turned into a great o line.
It's not Madden and Kyle's ego thinks he can scheme around this piss poor line. We need DBs and O line help yet we go after Chase. Chase will be a great addition but the ball will be out too fast in the slot to matter.
I hope the next regime is able to win one but I doubt I'll see number 6. Pisses me off,,,,this was our year with a couple of tweeks. Rinse and repeat over and over.
Frustrating when you work with Seacocks fans.
Iupati and Davis were both poor pass blockers.

I hardly play Madden, waste of money, then again been waiting for the Trade Deadline update to start my franchise mode lol
Basically, you could score a 75 out of 76. The thing is he never was good...like much of this OL, it's simply masked by scheme of a <2.5s passing game and exposed when it's not. Like the secondary when opposing QB's do the same and the DL can't get home in time.
LOL at Madden.

I feel your pain on both aspects. Born and raised up in that s**thole. Ha
Yeah they are smiling and can't believe we fell off a cliff. They are so confident they will win the division. Unfortunately I don't think they are wrong with the way the team devolved this year.

We're headed to the Super Bowl, but all the originally expressed needs still apply.
Definitely not bringing back Chase Young..
Keep developing Beal, bring back Ferrell for that edge contain help on run defense. Whether it's the draft or free agency, we need two more pass rushers and two interior run suffers.
I think we should look for a cheap veteran safety too, draft another for depth, and get two corners.
So in the draft at minimum.. Gimme
2 OL, 2 CB, 1 S, 1 DE, 2 DT, 1 WR, 1 TE.

I like this. I'd also like to see em use the 3rds wisely. 3rd rounders have been an achilles heel.

If I'm the GM, my #1 priority for our team is protecting Purdy going forward. Rebuild the trenches on both sides, and get some competition at other areas in between.
Right now we've got a superstar LT, above average LG & C, and average (JF) to below average (Burford) RG and RT. There's a lot of stuff we can't run as well to the right because of that. When you talk about improving your team, you gotta find what is causing you limitations. Our OL is the only thing preventing our run game from being more dangerous and the only thing holding back Brock from being even better, IMO.
On defense, we still haven't found a true bookend to Bosa. Our aging guys in the middle seem to be slowing down. We need help across the entire DL. In the secondary, we just need more depth.

I'd like a slot WR, and a tackle to groom for future, and a run stuffer on the D interior

Need AB to look at our cap going into next year. We're gonna need to clear some room and have a great draft the next couple years really.
Dre, Aiyuk, Hufanga, and Lenoir need extensions
AA's cap number is so huge, is there a way to lower it for the next couple years?
I don't see any opportunities for savings in terms of cutting anyone. Danny Gray, Oliver, and Drake Jackson all are on cheap contracts so cutting them doesn't save us much of anything..

Agreed. Heavy focus on the trenches and another outside CB.
I wouldn't mind another top TE either.

Alright guys.. Just looking at our roster, I definitely don't think Kyle has any good argument to say that there's limited spots up for grabs.
By my count, the following players are unlikely to be on the active roster week one, either due to retirement, injury, cost to resign, poor performance, and/or lack of development:
TE Ross Dwelley
WR Gray, McCloud, Bell
OL Jon Feliciano (injury), Burford, Bartch, Moore
DT Givens, Davis
DE Gregory, Young, Jackson
LB Greenlaw (injury), Burks, DFF
S Logan Ryan, Gipson
CB Oliver, Womack
The following players should not be handed anything, or are complete unknowns / need competition:
RT McKivitz
TE Latu
DE Beal
LB Graham, Winters
CB Luter, Thomas
S Brown
That's a lot of spots open. Up to 18-20 potential new faces next season IMO, depending on who's brought back.

I would also add Juice to the first list. $6.5M salary for a FB that sees <50% of the snaps is a lot given our current cap state.

Iupati was definitely a a poor pass blocker but I think Davis was solid. We definitely need to develop our Oline but I think the draft depth will allow that later rounds. I want the unicorn white cb cooper dejean bad. Can fill in Nickle and return specialist right away. It is VERY rare to draft Oline and produce well right way without having bone head rookie mistakes. We in win now mode so no more Burford blunders

1) Offensive line: Burford and McKivitiz both need to be cut. Need to find replacements using combination of draft (first round pick has to be for a OG/OT) and Free Agency (need an above average vet). I'd replace Feliciano since has a pec injury and was nothing more than a backup level player. Oline cost us in the most important game of the year. If they bring back either RG/RT next year even as backups and Purdy gets injured, its time to move on from his regime (f**k prioritizing the dline in this offensive driven league where scumbags we play hold every play).
BTW, we refused to address oline last time after SB 54, we had f**king Grassu (some dude off the street as our starting center) and eventually Jimmy got injured and our season ended. Oline must be addressed as number 1 priority otherwise Purdy will inevitably injured and over season will end as well. Number 1 asset in this league is the QB. Protect the QB with an elite offensive line. Not rocket science.
2) Extend Aiyuk or get another true top WR1: Offensive runs the league and true elite WR1 are essential. Overpay if we need to.
3) Purdy: Let him call protections and given him more flexibility in calling plays/audibles/change or make hot routes. Brendel should be not be final say on protections in games like the SB. Purdy is clearly an elite processor and has good athleticism but cannot be expected to beat free rushers every 3rd/4th play. Allow him to run the offensive completely like Peyton Manning. He has to continue to improve every aspect of his game (including arm strength/velocity which is something he did last year when everyone said he had a noodle arm). In the end of the day, our chance at another SB will come down to him. Offensive line will hopefully be better with likely less offensive weapons.
4) Dline: Great move to fire Wilks, should have happened at the bye week and maybe we have a SB. Get Vrabel/BB if we can otherwise poach some talented assistant off the Ravens/Browns/Chiefs squad. We don't need 4 elite players on the dline just need a creative DCoordinator that can dial up pressure. We cannot afford to waste 1st/2nd round picks on dline (Bosa obvi exception) as our last two picks have been busts (both were consensus top picks so obviously scouting league wide is s**t in this area). Get some cheap run blockers later in the draft and get depth/solid FAs for cheap. We did a great job of this last year getting Omenihu, Ebukam, Ridgeway, etc. Not so much this year unfortunately likely due to the expense of Hargrave. I'd trade Armstead to get more money to fulfill this position. Hes a great player but his best days are clearly behind him and his cap hit is way beyond his value.
5) CB: Ward and Lenoir are great. Get a solid nickel in draft or maybe Womack steps up. Cut Darrell Jr. (Don't need morons that can't even play ST)
6) LB: Love greenlaw but his career is effectively over as an elite player with the Achilles. He needs to be traded. He won't be 100% next year even with the shortened procedures (Cam akers who came back in 5-7 months actually ended up tearing his other Achilles his year so clearly rushing back is BS). Get Al-Shair back with the cap savings from trading Greenlaw. Cut Burks and hopefully the new guys can get opportunities next year and one of them can step up.
