Feliciano was a bright spot, other than 71 that goes without saying. Maybe when Dancing Bear is back Feliciano can take over right guard?
I think that is the plan once Banks is over that turf toe.

100% on script today.
Stuffed the run. Got into pass rush mode against an offense that had to hold the ball 2.5s .
Scored first, could run to the left side and won on 3rd downs.
Punted well.
That's the formula.
Soooo....are they up to your standard now?
No. Their script will win a ton of games but you still saw the glaring weaknesses that'll cost us in the end...OL and secondary (pass < 2.5s) and eventually, TO's from a QB pressing when forced off script by a better team in the trenches (esp.).
You are right. I will admit, I am not confident if we fall behind or if a D-line gets the best of our O-line, so your point is taken. I will say I am more confident in our ability to make a play when one is needed than I have been in the past. Honestly, for my sanity, I hope it doesn't even come to that and we can just dictate the game to teams all the way to number 6 lol..
Hoping that we can run with a Williams/Banks/Brendel/Feliciano/McKivitz lineup. Not great, but it will be better.
Respect.
But hey, it's football and we still have half a season to find our best combinations. Perhaps AB comes back strong, Feliciano steps up at RG and this helps CM...who knows. The secondary finds a good combination and groove. Injuries to other playoff teams happen. It's all about hitting your peak going into the playoffs + health and then let the talent take over. I'm not counting us out by any means, just pointing out what's likely to cost us if we don't win it this year; which has been an annual issue for us so it's easier to see now for most.

The sports books had this game pretty darn well pegged. 3 pts. That was the Jags deficit and that was exactly the # of pts they got…3.
O looked good, D looked good, but a 31 pt defeat? Who saw that coming? I thot it would be a good game but did anyone else feel that it was a 31 pt blowout? I didn't. It seemed close until the end of 3rd qtr and was nice to see Brock, #71 , Deebo and Kittle not on the field. Same for Nick, and Chase. We needed this kind of game against a team I thot was a lot better than they showed, and in their own backyard, no less.

Great game by the 49ers. Brock played really good. He took what the defense gave and did not force anything. Defense looked better the pressure on the QB was evident today and it showed by the coverage in the secondary QB had little time to throw.
Areas of concern.
After the scripted plays are gone the offense seems to stall. That needs to be fixed.
Screen passes are hurting the Defense.
The facemask penalty issue against CMC seems to be a real thing not a myth.
Other than that I was pleased with the play today.

It must be something about the scheme the Niners use because they consistently have problems stopping screen passes no matter who they play. They usually don't cover them well and they are always outmanned. It doesn't help when they don't tackle well.

Have you noticed that after the scripted plays the offense seems to just go away?

I'm glad that they benched Oliver and played Lenoir in the slot. Thomas didn't look too bad and had a big play.

Now let's see against the Eagles and Ravens.
One or 3 games don't make or break a season.

Listening to other message boards fans of other teams are furious that we got Chase. That he just turned that dline into a cheat code 😎

We should all take a moment to critically reflect on the fact that there is a strong possibility the Detroit Lions could play the Cleveland Browns in the Super Bowl this year.

Haha. Now THAT would be historic.
