Remember the 2012 season WWL-WWL pattern?
We are currently at WWWWW-LLL-WWWWW.
How many here would take consecutive losses in the next three (including at the pathetic Washington Whatevertheyarecalledthisweeks, if they were followed by 5 Ws after?
See? We don't need that #1 seed. All we need is to be in tune with the cosmic currents, or something.

Nice to have the number one seed if we end up with it. We need to realize that the Eagles could still be a problem in the playoffs. They are in the middle of an absolutely brutal stretch. Dallas, Chiefs on the road, Bills, 49ers, Dallas on the road and Seattle on the road. They are 3-2 in that stretch so far with Seattle up next. It would be a mistake to think they're done. same for Dallas. They're playing better now than when we beat them so we can't overlook them either.

Dang my OP was pretty spot on except for the Lions. I wasn't expecting them to slip like they have. Good for us!

Cowboys play: Bills, Dolphins, Lions, Commanders
Eagles play: Seahawks, Cardinals, Giants (twice)
Lions (1 game behind): Broncos, Cowboys, Vikings (twice)
--- I'd be shocked/impressed if the Cowboys win all four of their next games. If they lose one of those games, our margin of error isn't as tight.
--- Eagles have a really easy remaining schedule, but they haven't looked great the last few weeks. Seahawks are desperate right now so should be dangerous. If they get past the Seahawks, I can see them winning out.
--- Lions have the Cowboys and Vikings to deal with. I'd be shocked/impressed if they threatened us in the seedings.
Ultimately, we control our destiny at this point, but we don't have a ton of margin for error. Baltimore is the big game, but you never know how divisional games against the Cardinals and Rams will go, and the team will need to be focused to avoid a letdown against the Commanders (they should be fine).

The math is a bit confusing to me but if Eagles are five seed and Dallas the two seed, is it not possible we would need to play both if the cards land where they may?
But if we are two seed, it is not possible to play both. We would only potentially play one of them?
Grrrr.. my head hurts.

Yeah, if we get the 1 seed we'll likely play both since whoever wins the south will just get steamrolled by Philly or Dallas in the 5 seed.

BUT!!!! At least the 9ers will have a bye AND will be at home. Yah I bet both teams aren't gonna like that. 49ers already showed they can go on the road and beat winning teams in their house.

The Lions could blow it to GB or Minnesota, so it's still possible to avoid one of them in the divisional. Regardless, I think it's better for this team to get some rest, because they can beat anyone if they're healthy.

I'd say about 90% chance now. I don't know what the analytics say? But win 2/3 the way this team is playing. Very, very highly likely we do that.
