Let's just get the #1 seed locked up after the Commanders game and sit everyone for the Rams game. 👍

Funny if we both sit players in that game.

The league would still get a 4th preseason game 😎

This is the key to winning the SB. We need that bye and we need a 100% player roster. Even if we enter the playoffs with the #1 seed and manage to get the bye, those 2 games to get to the SB are going to be pretty hard games as far as physicality. Every team this years seems to be playing dirty against the Niners and we've seen numerous face masks and dirty hits.

We have to manage to come out of these games clean.

Another year they scored so much the defense was literally gassed come playoff time etc. Also Strahan talking about their 07 run and how having a week off would have killed their mojo. Once they almost ended the pats perfect season that last game they all felt they really had a chance and that carried them all the way.

I love that story btw. Coughlin sat his guys down and asked them (Giants already knew their playoff slot before the final game) and said do you want to rest or try to beat these undefeated mofos and the players all wanted the go at them. It got them going for sure.

Obviously Kyle wants the bye, but I'd expect the starters to play half the final game even if its already locked up.

Here is a quote from our coach.
"I think that's one of the biggest mistakes people make just watching it over the years. That's my opinion," Shanahan said Tuesday. "I would understand if you were getting ready for a seven-game series, I don't think football is like that. It's three and a half hours. It's one shot. I've been on a lot of teams where you rest guys and or give guys a few more weeks and those are usually the guys who struggle the most in that first playoff game."

Well there's our answer. He will take the bye, but they are playing the Rams lol.

I wonder if the Rams game ends up being a do or die for them?
Rams looking a lot more dangerous than the ravens imo. Their RB is legit and has speed and power to give us problems.

The ravens may have a better record but they have a gimmick QB and are down two rbs which means Lamar will have to pass.

Better not make that final week a must win. After watching last night's game I can see us easily dropping that one.

I don't like the idea of sitting players for 2 weeks

Ravens > Rams
football is a game of depth

if you look at the top 50 players in a Ravens / Rams game, 30+ would be Ravens
Rams just have the obvious stars, like Staffy, Kupp, Puka, Donald, McVay, etc. After those guys, it's a pretty rag tag group. Rams are asking a lot from Akhello Witherspoon. Just realize that at all times

lol these takes,

lol these takes,

It's about matchups as well not just talent. The ravens we should be able to make one dimensional and into Lamar weakness (passing from the pocket) because they are down to third string RB. The rams know us. It's also hard to win every game in your division in a given year. Stafford can pass if we try to bottle kyren and they have kupp back and puca which makes them dangerous.

Balt D only faced the personnel we run like 5% of the time for the entire year or something like that.

We will have their heads spinning.

I don't think Lamar is a gimmick. I think he's really good actually. He throws super accurate and is the best running QB. Maybe ever

his numbers would be better if true, but he can only run and throw short.

agree on a draw? lol

Whats funny is we can clinch the #1 seed this week itself

Vikings need to beat the Lions
Eagles need to lose to Giants
Cowboys have tolose to Miami
all three need to happen along with a 49er win i doubt this happens though

I just can't see the Eagles losing to the Giants, I can see the Vikings & Dolphins winning, Lions really don't scare me, and the Cowboys are the Cowboys, they can't beat a good team, except the Eagles.

Colts didn't have our injury history or play anywhere near as physical as we do. I'd rest Deebo, CMC. Banks, Trent, Aiyuk, Kittle, Bosa....hell it would probably be easier for me to name who I'd play lol.

The flip side, I'm sure our guys would love to keep the win streak going against the Rams, as do I. Plus they will be fighting to make the playoffs.
Just beat the Ravens by 11 and the commanders by a PLETHORA of points and were golden ponyboy All we have to do then is decide to whip the Rams ass like we always do or rest some injured players and give them a gift wrapped playoff appearance so they can beat Philly or Dallas for us even though we don't need any help whatsoever.

ATT, there are a handful of guys who can throw it from one end of the field to the other. I saw clips of Elway doing it, Kap could almost do it, and Lamar can do it. Saw it in a non NFL activity where QBs were messing around throwing for acccuracy and a few for distance. But Lamar has a cannon but no idea of accuracy.
